Why am I not surprised it's Timmy saying this stupid co-GOAT ****. You literally can't argue that any quarterback besides Brady is the GOAT unless you want to sound like an idiot. I've heard compelling arguments for 6 MLB players and 4 NBA players. There are zero arguments for quarterback unless you want to be laughed at.

It's an interesting debate because Chiefs fans are twisting themselves into a pretzel to understand what happened to him in that second half. I do think something snapped for him in that SB. His tendencies for the first time were used against him and teams this season used that same game plan and the Bengals did it to perfection.

The issue for him is like every great QB who has ever played, you have to figure it out. NFL defenses always find ways to slow you down and he had such a red hot first 2 years starting it was impossible to keep that up BUT he has really had some head scratching play on top. Something is definitely in his head. I also believe losing to Brady TWICE in the post-season did damage him. He has been compared to him since 2018 and to get curb stopped by him in the biggest game has a psychological effect. It feels like he is just trying too hard to me.

You can actually compare stats across eras...

Just normalize stats according to 2021 numbers and apply backwards. I did this years ago, expecting Marino or Manning to come up tops in stats. It actually wound up being Brady. I wanted to adjust for playing conditions as well, but that's a huge HUGE project and I don't have time for all that. An early look does not do Brees or Manning favors, but helps Brady, Rodgers, and even Jim Kelly a bit.

That said, Montana's 1989 season goes down as one of the best of all time. Brady's 2007 remains the best of all time. Manning's 2013 season doesn't crack the Top Ten.

Also, Sammy Baugh is criminally underrated. Completely dominant during his time. Staubach also doesn't get enough love.

In any event, Montana was great. Amazing. Brady was better. There are no objective measures to suggest otherwise.

The NBA is also a league that literally encourages dynasties. 6 championships in 8 years during the modern era is arguably the most impressive one but literally every decade has one and sometimes two. Freaking Lakers had a 5 title dynasty immediately before AND after the Bulls run of 6 titles. And btw Jordan gets zero credit for being undefeated in the Finals. Just means he lost earlier. Kareem won 6 and I believe got to either 1 or 2 more. Magic won 5 and got to 2 more. Kobe won 5 got to 2 more. Duncan won 5 got to 1 more. Unfortunately they didn’t all get to play the Utah Jazz in the Finals.

also the NBA playoffs is a "best of" series where generally the more talented team wins. I mean lebron has been to what 10 finals? The NFL's "any given sunday" playoffs leads to alot of upsets. It's alot harder to win in the NFL than the NBA especially create a dynasty. its why the niners and Jimmy G can upset the packers. but you hardly see "cinderella" teams in the NBA
