Then whats your excuse for being such a fukup? Id want to blame it on something? Is it meth? Bath salts?

I dont need to ride Joker. He is a contributing member of this forum. You are a nobody who hasn't contributed anything but racist garbage.
Come on let it out buddy.

Okay, this here was pretty funny.
I think what is even funnier is someone complaining about people using ad hominem attacks and then calling someone ignorant right after that

I don’t think Kermit is broken. I think it’s because defenses adapt to you and the fact it’s really hard to win/stay on top in this league. He’s still no worse than top 2 in the league.

No, I am talking about what an all time great season ought to entail - a great regular season and a great postseason, culminating in a super bowl win. Brady’s defense carried him throughout the 2007 playoffs.

I'm talking statistically, since I was addressing the notion that you cannot compare stats across eras. Do you disagree with my methodology on assessing stats across eras?

The best season of all time is like Brady's 2016 season. Fight me.

2016 was probably Brady's best season overall and one of the all time greatest NFL seasons for a QB. While he played well in the AFCCG and SB (pick 6 notwithstanding), he had a below 50% completion percentage along with only 2 TDs and 2 INTs vs Houston in the Divisional. Plus he was not spectacular against Seattle during the regular season.

I don't know where I would place 2016. I'd put it behind Young's 94 season, Montana's 89 season, and perhaps Warner's 99 season.

Stfu ***** you sound mad.

Happy to trigger you for the day.

Wtf is a mongoloid that **** sounds racist.
Joker isnt mad at you lol.

If you think that, you clearly overestimate your self worth here. He is always like this and you didn't get him mad.

You're mad.

To take this back though, your argument was that, for whatever reason, Montana and Brady are comparable in Super Bowl wins. I'm pretty sure you're the only one who thinks that, including Montana himself. You stated that you can't compare stats across eras, and I revealed that it is possible.

The point is that, even statistically normalizing stats according to modern standards, Montana's numbers elevate to among the all-time greats, as one would expect, but even then, he does not eclipse Brady.

There is no objective measure by which one can assert that ANY QB is in Brady's stratosphere.

And that's ok. Mac is a good QB too so far. You can believe Brady is the GOAT and be excited for what Mac brings. Celebrating Brady doesn't denigrate Mac.

I think the crucial point here is that Brady had better teams, even relative to the league being different.

Number one ranked defenses in points allowed three years.

Winning off vinateri kicks 2 years.

Malcolm butler pick 1 year.

James white scores 20 points and McDaniels eats up Atlanta man coverage one year… with Brady making throws that while accurate, were well in the wheelhouse of any good qb…

Held the rams to a low score one year while still not blowing them out.

Corey Dillon was a beast, Ty Law was a beast, Seymour/Wilfork/Milloy… beasts. James white was and is a beast, mayo/ht in their heyday beasts… branch, brown some of the most underrated wrs. Welker beast. Edelman beast (even if we never got to see him outside ne)

So again… adjusting for “inflation”, Montana is behind tb sure… but then you have to account for Brady’s coaching and defenses too. They put him in positions to make the throws and calls that he did. In the playoffs, regular season, and Super Bowls.

One thing that I admire about Brady is his presence in the pocket tho… so given that… I know that back then he’d still have been a great qb. But still, let’s not get out of hand here. He’s the goat by a much slimmer margin than we act like, meaning he’ll be replaced.

People fighting that inevitability by crabbing on mahommes and others are hurt fanboys.

You talk as if Vinatieri’s FGs somehow lessens the accomplishment. In both games Brady was instrumental on the last drive getting it in FG range for Adam to win it. Especially against the Panthers when our defense fell apart in the 2nd half thank god Tom and offense picked up the slack.

The Seattle game…again Brady was awesome in crunch time to get us the lead. Thankfully the defense held on at the end. 400 yards against LOB was nothing to sneeze at. Just ask Peyton
Manning.

Atlanta…did the Falcons help us out? Absolutely. But from 3 min left in the 3rd on Tom was fantastic. (Even with some luck on the Edelman grab.)

Rams..No argument here. Defense ruled the day. Again when we needed to have the TD Brady delivered with a beautiful throw to Gronk.

Are we just adjusting for bradys defense and coaching and ignoring Montanas coaching, offense with the Goat WR plus the fact that a lack of FA allowed the niners to stay together as long as they did?

Lastly, disagree on Brady being replaced as the GOAT. Sure his regular season stats could be toppled due in large part to the extra game but those postseason records will be hard to beat. I mean the guy was basically in the Super Bowl at a 50% clip during his career.

Montana also played in an era when whoever won the NFC then won the Super Bowl by default. Like it was a joke for 16 straight years how the AFC just absolutely sucked in the Super Bowl.

I’m not saying any of this. You need to take a step back and try to understand my argument. You said "fight me" and then you change the subject...

4-0 being better or equal to 7-3 might be the dumbest argument in sports. I also didn’t know longevity where the player is still playing at an elite level late in his career was a negative. To borrow from another sport, this isn’t Pete Rose or Albert Pujols “longevity”
Brady doesn’t get enough credit for the work and sacrifices he made to keep himself in peak physical performance at the age of 44. That was no fluke. He was able to separate himself from the other QBs in the GOAT conversation in the latter part of his career. That was allowed to him because of the extreme sacrifices he made after the age of 30. I wonder if he’s sitting on the sofa at home right now with his first tub of ice cream in over 15 years.

I agree. He also took below market value contracts too. It is those 2 things - physical and financial sacrifices- that separated him.

Imagine being a 6th round pick and not only believing you are the best ever but having a plan over 2 decades to achieve it.

“Look like a hater.”

See, There’s another example of ad hominem.

Actually it’s poisoning the well and ad hominem.

Maybe you love watching the sport enough to hate its distillation by media into a personality contest.
I see... go on.

The NBA is also a league that literally encourages dynasties. 6 championships in 8 years during the modern era is arguably the most impressive one but literally every decade has one and sometimes two. Freaking Lakers had a 5 title dynasty immediately before AND after the Bulls run of 6 titles. And btw Jordan gets zero credit for being undefeated in the Finals. Just means he lost earlier. Kareem won 6 and I believe got to either 1 or 2 more. Magic won 5 and got to 2 more. Kobe won 5 got to 2 more. Duncan won 5 got to 1 more. Unfortunately they didn’t all get to play the Utah Jazz in the Finals.
It's strange watching people rank Jordan over Bill Russell, the GOAT from the NBA who won 11 of 13.

This forum used to be a great place to come and read, learn and also entertain oneself about the Patriots. Demoralising to see what gets posted here now, and I'm not talking just about this thread.
GO PATS.
I think our biggest problem is how often posters reply to obvious trolls like mondre. It got to the point that I stopped reading any posts he made or any replies to him. It's not worth my time.

I don't get the love for Kermit the QB. He's impatient in the pocket and not all that accurate. I love his sidearm throws, especially when he misses a wide open target.

The answer to the OP's question is yes, the Bucs did break Mahomes, literally and figuratively. There was one sack where he got sandwiched and I thought they broke him in half. He hasn't been the same since.
