As someone who isn’t a diehard NBA fan and only starts watching games on a consistent basis after the SB has occurred, which team do people here think that Boston matches up better with, Golden State or Houston? I think CLE gets blown out by both of them if they are fortunate enough to get there.

I was a big Larry Bird/C’s fan back when I was a kid during the old “beat LA” days and have always rooted for the Cavs since I have a lot of family in Ohio, but it’s difficult to envision a scenario where the Eastern conference winner goes on to win the whole thing. It would have been cool to see what BOS looked like right now with Kyrie and/or Hayward.

I can’t stand that guy.

Boston is missing their best 2 players, 1 of whom they had literally for 5 minutes all season.

I don’t want to count my chickens before they hatch but I was honestly asking myself how many teams could lose their top-2 players and *still* make it to the conference finals? (Yeah I know we got one more W to go....)

Tomase and others' continued existence reflects the media's mantra of "we look after our own"

Watching the game on ESPN was a real eye opener for me, for 48+ minutes Doris and the other dude gently massaging the testicles of Embid and Simmons... 48 minutes of "foreplay". ESPN sucks....

As time goes on more and more impressed with Brad Stevens, this guy is beyond good... and if he is not COY then he is robbed.

Then there is the blah, blah, blah about how Simmons is ROY, come on now, are they really going to spot him a year because of injuries??? Simmons has not impressed me in this series..

This team, in the playoffs, are coming close to the teams of the mid 80's in terms of fight and entertainment... great game.

Because he's a horrible shooter, and he doesn't know when he shouldn't be launching. When you combine that with where he went in the draft, and the money he might still command in free agency, it makes sense.

That would be basing an opinion on only some of the facts

The 2014 draft was not a very good one and while you’d like to expect a more complete player at #6, he was by no means a bad pick given how the rest of the draft played out

Embiid was really *****ing that nobody that guarded him got a foul. What a ****ing joke. The zebras did everything they could to give that game to Philly.

Smart is the epitome of an excellent role player. His ideal niche is as a 6th or 7th man whose intensity and defensive prowess is good enough to change the complexion of the game. He is asked to guard 4 positions at times and has a solid handle. His obvious deficiency is shooting and when he plays with the 2nd team he often finds himself with the ball late in the shot clock and feels he is the best option to score. That is usually not the actual case and he has been a participant in many of the C's scoring droughts during the season. To me his ideal role is 20-25 minutes a night. I like when he plays with Rozier as he can take on some of the ball handling duties and allow Rozier to concentrate on scoring by coming off picks and finding holes in the paint for penetration.

Question is - when Irving returns who is a better fit between Smart and Rozier and at what price? To me, Rozier is a superior player but his skills are more redundant to Iriving while Smarts are some of the most unique in the league. He is a modern day Tony Allen - just not sure how much that is worth in a league with cap restraints.

Assuming the C's can re-up Smart for somewhere in the 4/44 range and feel confident that Irving returns in good health I think they should shop Rozier for a big that can shoot. (would keep Rozier but I do not see anyway they can afford him going forward)

He has some nerve to say that after his 'try to block' a shooter while still on the bench.

It breaks my heart Danny needs to shop Scary Terry for an athletic big who can rebound and block shots but its the right move.

Agree on Smart. He is way too unique to just let walk without trying to keep.

I saw a hot take about swapping Irving for Leonard straight up. Not so crazy given the emergence of Rozier. No I am not saying he is as good as Irving.

That was Stephen A. Smith.

You going to take minutes from Tatum with Heyward coming back?

We already have three upper tier wings, two youngsters destined to be All-Stars. No to Kawhi.

I love Rozier but however promising his future may be, he is not Kyrie Irving. Kyrie has already bought into the system and likes it here. Considering the headache Kawhi seems to have been recently I will pass.

Last night's ESPN highlights started with Embiid's bone crushing jam over Baynes in the 3rd quarter. Then they showed last second action in 4th and in overtime and Tatum barely got a mention.

This mornings Sportscenter had a Boxing split screen pic of Tatum Vs. Simmons lead-in and gave Jayson some decent respect but I wish they did a split screen with Markelle Fultz aka as MF to Philly fans.

Such biased reporting on the Rozier/Brpwn late 4th quarter play I had to rewind it twice to believe it...... Oh there's a turnover a bad play by the Sixers and Brown gets 2 by the layup,

Notice Rozier's pass received no mention and Reddick was never chastised for a bad pass.

I can't believe I'm thanking ESPN's Stephan A/ Smith for balancing out the coverage with his 5 minute rant against the Sixers even though twice he said in all my 25 years of coaching I have never seen such bad........
