OT: Buffalo Went For Two

They didn't trust the kicker. Almost rather lose than hand things over to the kicker and see morale completely sap away for the team
It's this, and also they didn't want to have Allen out there any longer than they had to - he's banged up and looked pretty bad.

I do think they would have won in overtime, sort of perplexing, but w/e, Bills gon' Bills.

Given that they’d struggled from first and goal, I think they’d

Yep, given the way the two teams were playing in the 4th quarter, my money would have been on Buffalo in OT. But two exhausted teams in cold driving rain is a recipe for injuries. I think they just wanted the game to be over.

Were you watching the game? The Eagles couldn’t do squat in the second half. They were about as efficient as the Jets offense.
That dies not guarantee that they would not ball out in OT
Yes watched the whole game. Allen could not move outside of the pocket

The Eagles got an impressive 17 yards and no TDs in the second half of the game. You don't want to go into overtime with an offensive juggernaut like that.

If the Bills were afraid of the Eagles being able to march down the field and score a TD in overtime, this was not a dumb decision. Since the Eagles' offense was absolute trash in the second half of the game, the smart move would have been to go into overtime. Since the Bills already failed to convert points and lost the ball on downs on a short yardage and goal situation already, it was still far better odds that they would have won in overtime than going for two.

Yeah, ALSO I thought they showed the graphic that Jills were somehow 1 for 6 on 2-pt conversions this year.

not sure how you can be that bad at getting 2.5 yards w Josh Allen under center, butdidnt sound like their strong suit.

Bills coaching has been suspect for years judging from Bills forum

I hope they get eliminated first weekend. I don’t think they will, but that is my hope.

They were at home & had momentum. I think it was in their interest to play in OT.

he Buffalo Bills are making another change at kicker.

The team announced early on Monday that they released veteran Michael Badgley from the practice squad, just hours after he had an extra point blocked in the team’s 13-12 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Badgley had struggled while filling in for Matt Prater, missing another extra point and leaving a kickoff short of the landing zone in last week’s win over the Cleveland Browns.

Josh Allen in a critical situation:

I think they should play to win because there’s still a chance we could lose next week even if slim. Vrabel wouldn’t ever concede the division a week early
You do understand that with a tie, they play an overtime period with PHI having almost no chance to score?

Potent PHI offense?

Theyre ranked 19th. I'm not impressed with Hurts at all and Barkley looks burnt out too.
yes, the potent PHI Offense that didn't complete even one pass in the second half.

Both Allen and Cook were injured. It makes sense that they did not want to go into OT.
Eagles would have won in OT for sure
was a new PHI offense available, or would they have to play the same one that couldn't complete on pass against BUFF Offense in the second half?

I suspect that that the coach thought that they had a great play available (they did) and that they wanted the team to rest until the playoffs.

Not even that. I read that Jalen Hurts didn’t complete one pass in the second half. Philly was toast.
Sarianni played to hang on and let his defense win the game.

The Rams would smoke the Eagles.

Why gamble the win away when you want to be winning heading into the post season.

Even if the Bills had won after playing awful they still beat a 4tn ranked defense.
I don't think that BUF is all that unhappy today. They may get to play us in the first round.
