They were either terrified at the potent PHI offense or their kicker.
======
My guess is that BUF was 4-1 favorites to win if they went for one. I guess we'll see the analysis tomorrow.

It wasn't a bad call, Allen just missed the open receiver. Actually, if Allen didn't run backwards for a 20 yard sack they could of kicked a field goal which would of made that touchdown the game winning score.

That and the blocked XP. . . .

Ultimately they were playing for nothing. They know we aren’t losing to Miami at home with the division and 1 seed at stake.
I think he was happier to decide it on one play than to have his team play an extra quarter of football.

In that scenario I don't mind the decision, even though it didn't work out.

Philadelphia's defense looked gassed after two long fourth quarter scoring drives, and the Eagles offense not helping with a three-and-out inbetween. It was an excellent opportunity to take advantage of that fatigue.

They didn't trust the kicker. Almost rather lose than hand things over to the kicker and see morale completely sap away for the team

BB would have kicked the extra PT 100 times out of 100.

I believe Vrabel would too. Win the game in OT. Losing a game like that because you have zero faith in your Special Teams and Kicker may have consequences in the post season.

Buffalo wins that game imo if they make the field goal. Philadelphia wasn’t scoring again.

Tie or lose, they still lose the AFC East.

Only one team gets a bye week. So, why not gamble with the momentum you had built on that drive and try to get the win?

I think they should play to win because there’s still a chance we could lose next week even if slim. Vrabel wouldn’t ever concede the division a week early

Potent PHI offense?

Theyre ranked 19th. I'm not impressed with Hurts at all and Barkley looks burnt out too.

It wasn’t a terrible play call but it was a terrible decision. Both things can be true. The Bills would’ve won that game if they kick the XP.

Not even that. I read that Jalen Hurts didn’t complete one pass in the second half. Philly was toast.
Nobody gets carried more to wins than Hurts. The tush push is one big poetic imagery of how his team wills him to victory.

Why gamble the win away when you want to be winning heading into the post season.

Even if the Bills had won after playing awful they still beat a 4tn ranked defense.

I ran some errands when the game was 13-0 at halftime only to come home to see the Bills at the 5 yard line with a chance to tie. That was irritating.

Both Allen and Cook were injured. It makes sense that they did not want to go into OT.
Eagles would have won in OT for sure

For me given the situation going for two was obviously a stupid decision. But it wasn't the worst decision that Sean Mcdermott made in my opinion.

To me the worst decision that he made was not kicking the field goal with 2 minutes left in the third quarter down 13.

Yeah, you got stopped right on the goal line and that sucks, But there's plenty of time left in the game. Taking 3 isn't a bad thing with that much time left. There are times to go for it and be aggressive, down 13 with more than an entire quarter plus three timeouts and the two minute warning left isn't one of them.
