OT - Bruins vs Senators

The Senators winning wouldn't bother me at all. Certainly better than the Penguins again, in any case. Rooting for the Predators though.

I think we can all agree that the Subban trade blowing up in the Canadiens face in this fashion is absolutely hilarious and wonderful.

I don't think they'll even win a game vs Pittsburgh. The Sens are terrible and benefited supremely from the new, awful playoff format.

They finished 6th, yet got to play the 7th and 5th seeds. And got home ice advantage in both series.
"Go Sens, all the way! Diving is my passion too!"

Probably has already been mentioned, but in 4 games vs Ottawa this year, the Penguins only one once. In their 3 losses, the Penguins were held to 1, 1, and 1 again tonight.

It would appear as though Ottawa may be a bit scrappier than some are suggesting, and I believe this series is going 6 or 7, either way.

Watching these two is like watching the Italian World Cup team in an intrasquad scrimmage.

The good thing about the Senators getting to this point is that I'm feeling better about the Bruins for next year. And speaking of the Bruins...

If they don't screw up the expansion draft, and some of the kids are ready to go, they should start off as a lower level playoff team, instead of the borderline team they've been the past 3 years, and improve from there, as the puppies grow up during the season.

IF the Bruins are smart, they'll do that plus find a strong, savvy veteran to help lead/inspire them, like Recchi for example. If they do, I see no reason they can't be at or near the top of the standings all year. They'll have a whole camp with Butch, and if they stay at least relatively healthy, they can make a run.

But like all of us, the older guys ain't getting any younger.

The Sens winning should bother any sensible fan of sport. They should be rotting up in Ottowa instead of playing right now. If they win the Cup, it will be the first illegitimate Cup won in a long, long time.
