For all the chicken little's, you can always sign up for Finheaven or Jets Insider. I hear their bandwagons are starting to fill up.

Okay, let's be objective. What difference did he make in Denver? Pray tell. Be objective. What did they do that was so great that he made the difference in? He has the POTENTIAL to be a difference maker, just like Dez Bryant. But he has yet to BE one.

He is a difference maker on fantasy football teams, for sure, but has yet to be so in the NFL.

He caught over 100 passes for three straight years. He's a top 5 WR in the NFL.

And you're comparing him to Dez Bryant? DUde...

Only a true fan can see the stupidity of the Patriot front office.

I'm bummed. I really wanted Marshall here. Sigh....

As of April 14, 2010, the east looks like this:

1) Miami
2) Jets
3) Pats
4) Buff

The guy is Wes Welker on steroids and people are treating him like he is Braylon Edwards.

So I will ask you again, WHAT FREAKIN' DIFFERENCE did he make in Denver in the last three seasons??? Did he win Shanny Coach of the Year? Or did his HC get fired because his team couldn't compete?? Did he come up big on teams that seemed to choke away division leads down the stretch season after season? This kid is not a good teamate on so many levels. Does Miami have the infrastructure to manage him? In the FO the believe they do, but that may be a case of wishful ego. In the locker room, not so much... If they don't "take care of him" contractually, he will pout and act out as he did in Denver. If they do, better hire security to tail his entourage.

So really, nobody has been able to illustrate the apparent clear divide between the Patriots behind the Jets and Dolphins other than a few marginal opinions.

Just like I thought. The world isn't caving in.

Or maybe, just maybe, there isn't any stupidity, and the Pats are approaching things as they always do?

But hey, that's just me. I'm evidently not an uberfan like yourself.

And that means what?

So now they have Marshall, Camarillo, Ginn and Bess. With Chad Henne at quarterback.

If you think this signing currently puts us behind the Dolphins, give me a ******* break. The amount of chicken littles here is absolutely disgusting. I can't even imagine what this board was like after the 02 season, when we also got no high priced free agents and went on to win two Superbowls back to back. If you guys were Colts fans you'd all be screaming "3rd place!!!" after every offseason, considering the amount of free agents they bring in. Good god...

Would I love to have gotten Brandon Marshall at this price? Of course. Does this make the Dolphins a better team? Sure. Are they going to supplant us in the division because they now have a great receiver to complement their ridiculously bad ones and their mediocre QB? Not likely.

And what did that ever net Denver beyond a dead cornerback... Shannahan washed his hands of this kid at the end of his run despite his talent. Josh has done the same. Tuna has the kind of ego that believes he can manage talented problem children. Although he's struggled to where this new generation that makes more than him is concerned...

There is a good reason Parcell's isn't here any more and Belichick is. It's the same reason in many respects that Kraft doesn't let the fanbase run this team...

If it was not for Parcells and some of the players he brought here to this team in the 90s like Law and McGinest ect: ,we most likely would not have won AT least one or two Super Bowls or have you forgotten this?

While Belichick got guys to become superstars in the early decade when they struggled early, it was Parcells who got them here in the first place by drafting them, give him some credit.

I never understood the disrespect Parcells constantly gets with Pats fans,If Parcells didn't set the foundation for this team in the mid 90s,Belichick would have had little to work with in talent when he got here.

:wha: What the hell? You're him blaming for that?

Parcells left NE because he wanted total control of the team, the kind of control Belichick has now. I think Parcell's has proven that he's one of the best talent evaluators of this era.

The Dolphins have other pressing issues just like all the other teams in the AFC East, but to downplay this move by the Dolphins is just as comical as the Chicken Little's reaction. He's had over 100 catches the past 3 years and dominated our secondary last year. If he's not a difference maker in your eyes, then your just not being objective.

If I had a choice, I would send 2 second round picks for a proven player like Marshall rather than take my chances on a crapshoot like the draft. But that's just me.

Marshall is a proven player, but also a proven headcase one step away from a significant suspension. He isn't a Randy Moss or Corey Dillon with most of their problems behind them. His problems are pretty recent. If I was Parcells, I would be petrified of letting Marshall loose on South Beach.

The Dolphins' defense is currently a mess. They have no proven starter at OLB. They need to replace virtually their entire d-line. They need a starting FS. Yes, Marshall helps the team (as long as he can keep out of trouble), but does nothing to help that defense. The addition of Dansby doesn't fix all the problems they have on defense and they just gave up a high second this year (11th pick in the second in a deep draft) and second next year.

If you look at the Marshall trade in a bubble and ignore their offseason losses and needs going into the offseason, it makes them a contender for the AFC East crown. If you realized that they had taken a step back this offseason before this move, you would realize that they are at about where they were last year or slightly better.

My lord some people are dramatic.

Either we want the front office to improve team chemistry or we don't. We can't have it both ways. Maybe BB has some connection with someone on the Broncos, and maybe that someone had all sorts of problems with Marshall in the locker room. Crazy thought.

I'm really interested in knowing how this works out for beyond 2010 for when the salary cap is back.

I'm not too worried. The Pats have taken a step back, but in the end they still have Brady and Bill. This was going to be a transition year either way; it'll be interesting to see how the cards play out in the long run.

I agree, the Patriots drafting has been flawless as of late. Out of those fifteen pics they would be lucky to get one right. And if they do, it will only take two years for them to make any major impact on a SB run. Why take a proven commodity over the immense unknown? They are brilliant. Let all the other teams stock pile talent while you watch in amazement.......

It came out at the trial of the Williams' murder that the shooter was retaliating due to an altrication he got in earlier in the night with Marshall and his cousin. Although he is not directly responsible, his actions did help lead to Williams' death.

How is Brandon Marshall a known? Do you KNOW what conduct he'll have over the next two years?
