I'll take a look at that. I've also heard that theory.

And I, as the extreme optimist of the board, am predicting Corey will come back with a stellar year and Bethel Johnson will finally come into his own after an injury-riddled 2005.

And now the more I look at it and remember the last few games of the season, I believe the ankle can explain one thing which had stumped me previously.

Instead of taking a cut outside (to his left in many cases), I noticed Dillon planting his left foot, turning his body, and then almost trying to run sideways around or block or oftentimes just into the back of a blocker. Never was real succesful.

Corey ya old bum, you are over the hill!! If you want to complain, take your whine and cheese to Rodney's locker - I am sure you two will have lots of media disrespect to talk about this upcoming year.

Clearly Digger44 missed the point, probably too busy sitting in his MENSA meeting.

I know you're joking and trying to spur him on... but you might want to look over your shoulder the next time you're invited to the Pats locker room.

I don't know how much tape you looked at - but by the time I heard the scout make the comment about his inability to cut to the left (I'm 90% sure that's the direction they said) it was his last game and while I thought I saw that tendency it wasn't enough to draw any conclusions.

It seems to me there's some credibility to the theory.

So too, if I have an OL that's relying on rookies and backups to fill in positions like Center and Left Tackle, and I'm a coach, I'm probably going to ask them to prioritize pass protection of the Franchise over opening holes for an injured RB.

Of course, no one wants to consider such "excuses" and seems ready to give up on Corey. I'm not there yet, but it was clear even last year that we needed to groom an RB of the future, so add that position to the needs in the draft of WR, LB, and K.

I didn't miss the point at all. I feel it is in poor taste to make this type of humor towards people who doubt him at the cost of HIS reputation. I just don't think Corey deserves to be talked about that way so a personal agenda could be made. This guy has given his all to the team, and should be shown some respect. That is my point. Not my fault your village idiot humor is not on the Mensa level of communication.

I knew some people would when I posted it. But I also knew that that would be fun, too.

Hey Corey- Digger44 just whispered to me that you're old and smelly.

You cannot be this dense. No one can.

Hey, give credit where credit is due.

I am disappointed in some of these posts. Dillon has had a great career and simply is not deserving of disparaging remarks. Examples: "You suck", "you're over the hill" "you're slow" and the like....... He's been a workhorse year in and year out, played hurt all last season and set the Patriots rushing record the year before. Dillon will be running over people again this year and the people with the nasty, ill-advised trash talk will be jumping out of their seats with his power running cheering. I believe Corey has plenty in the tank and will prove it.... :rocker:

Have you ever heard of 'karma' or even better, trying to motivate someone by saying they can't do something? If you think about that, maybe you'll start to catch on.

Yeah, I've heard of this..... Just don't believe in it when a player been a proven commodity for 10 years.... If he was in his 3rd or 4th year maybe.....

Feep, we are JOKING. Playing on the whole motivation-through-lack-of-respect card that the Pats like to bust out now and then. In previous threads I said I expect big things from CD this year. You and Digger need to chill out.

Or if he actually read the thread. Somehow I doubt CD is out there purusing these threads getting all worked up over the disrespect of a bunch of message board goers.

This is more fun for us then it is about anything else.

Excellent point. The whole idea of an open letter to a player was silly to begin with.

Especially one as lazy and old as Dillon.

Actually, Corey seems to be like one of those guys who is very aware of everything people say about him in the media.

Too bad he's too slow and broken to do anything about it!!
