It's easy, and only takes a few moments.Avril going out changed that game, and that was after Lane going out had already changed it. If you think that wasn't a huge factor in the Patriots winning, you didn't pay attention to the game.
As for the "blueprint", yea, it's this....
Take advantage of the new CB2, and take advantage of a defensive backfield that hasn't fully gelled yet due to the holdout of Chancellor.
That's not really much of a blueprint.
Anyone expecting Patriots to shift back to a 4-3-4 Sunday - more Jerod Mayo .... a lot less nickel?
That is why they have 4 losses.. every team faces extraneous forces, real champions adapt and do not offer excuses..
Check out Russell Wilson's stats.. he is coming out in about the middle. Right now he is about #21 in TD passes even with the addition of Jimmy Graham.. Wilson has been sacked 26 times, 1/2 as much as Brady.
Reasons aren't excuses. When the Patriots were losing from 2005-2014, instead of winning Lombardis, there were reasons. I'm giving reasons. Seattle's defense isn't as formidable, in large part, because they're getting lousy play from their CB2, and they haven't regained their full cohesion yet, because of Chancellor having been out for so long. This was very obvious in the Carolina game.
You mean twice as much, not 1/2 as much.
Yea I mean twice as much.. guess we provided a blueprint there along with immediate gratification Pete who traded away one of his better O lineman..
Losing from 2005-2014.. gee I missed that. Not winning Lombardi's does not mean they were losing.. 122 wins vs. 36 losses is not losing. 31 others teams would love to "lose" like that..
So Pete and his boys cannot adapt and recover?? How many times have we seen unforeseen circumstances not derail the Patriots.. recovering from adversity or unforeseen injury is the standard of really great teams...
You may be correct, but Mayo is only 29 and if BB had come to this view Mayo would be gone already. If Mayo is truly on the bubble we could find out in coming weeks as BB creates roster spots for LaFell and Stork. With Hightower hampered and possibly out on Sunday, the ILBs will need to step up to stop Ivory. Neither Mayo nor Freeny has been a run-stopping force to date, but neither has recent experience and both could be improving. Mayo, when healthy, has been a force, and they obviously see potential in Freeny. Let's hope at least one of these guys takes a big step on Sunday.I think Mayo is about done, not sure if it is an injury or culmination of lots of injury/age.. but he seems real slow.
I'm not sure he's done ... but he is their worst cover LB or DE even - scheme change works against him.I think Mayo is about done, not sure if it is an injury or culmination of lots of injury/age.. but he seems real slow. If this is the end, will miss.. Ms. Mayo.
By saying injuries were the reason the pats won the superbowl really is taking away credit from brady who went 15-16 for 2tds in that 4th quarter to climb back.
We need to acquire another corner that can play man coverage. Are we gonna play more zone again? You need to get physical with the jets wrs
