Shawn Jefferson was promoted from offensive assistant to receivers coach, and Tim Martz, Martz’s son, was fired as an offensive assistant.

and btw, if mcdaniels gets the ravens job, what would stop belichick from hiring mike martz to take over the offense? just throwin it out there, belichick has always had respect for martz as a coach and an offensive genious.

I always liked Shawn, especially given how terrible his first game was. Zach Thomas made his name out of knocking Shawn out.

I'd love to see Martz here, say what you want about the guy as a coach but he's a hell of a coordinator.

Also give him credit, in 2001 he told his team after the regular season game that the Patriots were the best team they'd play all year long and he was right.

Detroit has no OL and Kevin Jones was out most of the season leaving them with TJ Duckett. A talented WR and rookie WR and a journeyman QB do not a 'lot of O-talent' make.

Also as soon as he is remotely succesful, he will get another HC opportunity.

I think BB is looking for continuity and peaceful coexistence with low ego assistant coaches.
