Surprising, but pretty shrewd considering Adams, James, Fitzpatrick, Anthony Harris & Justin Simmons will surely set the market for safeties in the near future. This deal will look like peanuts when those guys get paid.

It will look like peanuts after the other contracts, but I suspect that would have been the case even if the Cardinals set the market at a lower price.

Because he wants top DE money. If you aren't going to pay Chandler Jones (which his contract is peanuts right now), then you shouldn't pay this guy.

My prediction is that if he's traded, he goes to the 49ers if they don't sign Logan Ryan. They like tall CB's, he's a tall CB.

Their CB's are still their Achilles heal and quite shocked they ignored it.

But in the end, if the Pats can't get at least a 3rd round pick, there's no reason to trade him.
