What Ross said...clearly you have an issue and despite my attempts to try and discuss this, it's not working. I don't know what else to tell you.

"Only after I mentioned it"?? Dude, any offending post has been deleted within a couple minutes of its creation in this thread. You're really not helping your case or winning any kind of support here. It's kind of screwed up to have to say it in a thread literally about the rules and how things become removed, but you're really de-railing this thread with this stuff, so... connect the dots... please let it go as Ian has requested (more than once).I see that some have been deleted now, only after I mentioned it. And no, Ian did not ask me to accept people personally attacking me. I believe he asked me to let go the past targeting that had occurred, which I have.

The internet is used for too much ugliness and hatred ... it's terrible. On Facebook, I have some friend-of-a-friend, not sure where I got him, who loves to post specifically Jewish humor. I actually asked him once, and he's married to a Jewish woman. I don't know whether he converted, who knows.
Most of the time he's just being funny. Then today he starts a very right-wing post, the usual stuff about terrible libtards etc. He's got a Trumpist Jewish following with exactly the same attitude as the Nazi wannabes (and used a lot of the JDL type rhetoric and tough guy talk -- also, a staple of right-wing Jews here and in Israel, were calling me a kapo, again, because we disagreed.)
Basically ended up blocking 3 of these clowns once they started showing signs of looking up **** about me and saying they wanted to fist-fight me (so the "which emoticon is appropriate" question above cracked me up.)
So thats what I was seeing on my usually sedate facebook page before coming here. It's like all the internet tough guys are on one phone tree, or are picking up signals like "Hey being a faux mobster is COOL now, I always KNEW that people going to college and learning words was a way of keeping me down!"
Who F*in needs it, ya know?
Amazing how in the last four years ignorance has become a virtue. On Facebook, I have some friend-of-a-friend, not sure where I got him, who loves to post specifically Jewish humor. I actually asked him once, and he's married to a Jewish woman. I don't know whether he converted, who knows.

"Love", it really throws them off their game.Question for mods: when other users invite you to drive to their house so they can fight you, what is the appropriate rating to give them? I’m torn between “useful”, “funny”, or “genius”.
Well f***
I literally work in IT which makes this especially embarrassing

I think he has passed so RIP ... you were fun.

Also - because I see this a lot. If you post something and then go "oh crap, I shouldn't have posted that" and edit it, or clear it out and save it, or hit "delete", your post is still saved and I can see each version of it. So if you post something bad and at least have the state of mind to remove it, that's at least a good thing. But if I have to call you out on it, please don't deny you did/said it because it's still there

Yeah -- the fallacy of composition is an overlooked thing on message boards (as it often is elsewhere). People will often justify something with "me doing that was no big deal". That may even be true, but when lots of people do it makes the place suck, so the mods have to take actions to discourage lots of people from doing it even if the action seems to be a bit overkill when viewed in the context of that one person doing it.Come on man. There's something to be said about "don't do what would destroy the board if everybody did it." From time to time, it's not "those sensitive crybabies" that are the problem.
Last month has been very hard to post on here.I haven't posted in a couple of days. What the HECK did I miss here?
