I've talked about this in 2014. Gronk's catch over the middle was far more impressive. I understand how to catch a ball like that. Any gifted receiver would be able to do it. OBJ just moved his arm and body in the same direction as the trajectory of the ball to decrease the velocity the ball would hit his hand at. I mean he does it all the time in pre-game warmups. Nobody was going try to lay him out like Gronk over the middle or like the Mike Evans catch tonight.
You do realize OBJ was literally being ripped to the ground at the time because of pass interference and still made one of the most insane acrobatic catches of all time right? He was almost parrallel to the ground AND I highly doubt he had a great view of the ball since it was behind his head. He did it with two fingers and a thumb and the ball didnt budge even after landing on his back with no real way to break the fall. Making catches in pre game warmups isn't even in the same universe as that play.

Do you have an issue with OBJ as a player or is it a Giants thing? I mean c'mon, Gronk and Evans made fantastic catches, but that OBJ one is going to live on forever in peoples memories and for good reason. An opinion is an opinion and I totally get that, but you don't seem willing to give Odell any credit and thats insane.

No issue with the Giants or OBJ. That catch was overrated the moment "greatest catch ever"(or however he phrased it) slipped out of Collinsworth mouth.

It's a great catch, I shouldn't have said not impressed but I think I said that because of the hyperbole that catch gets. But not the best catch ever.

Randy Moss made the greatest catch that I ever saw. It was a long TD pass vs Miami that he caught with his back to the ball by trapping the ball between his shoulder and elbow joint. He was double covered on the play.

I have to agree with the hyperbole comment. The Gronk one hander against Denver was just as good and got zero play.

OBJ's was like in the Matrix movie plus bonus point for being a TD catch.

Lets wait 'n see who has the better record...

all ryan has to do is make the playoffs and put up gawdy stats. let's say ryan puts up 5100 yards 45tds/8 ints and brady puts up 3500 yards 35tds / 2ints. winner should be ryan even though the whole world knows brady is the real mvp.

When was the last time the MVP won the Superbowl? There's only one trophy Brady cares about.

After 8 games Ryan had 19 TD's and 4 picks. He has never had more than 32 TD's in a season. I think Ryan will finish with 39 TD's and 9 picks this season.. which will be his best season of his career. If Brady finishes with 35, 36 TD's and 4 picks... I think you would have to give Brady the MVP. The thing is Brady has to play out doors and in the cold for most of his games in late November/December for the regular season.

I honestly don't care if he wins the MVP although it would be pretty ****ing cool this season because of his BS suspension. BTW I think Brady's arm is stronger this year.. I don't know how. The PFW guys picked up on it too. They saw the same throw I saw against the bills where he was off balance running out of the pocket and let a ball rip down the field.. it was basically all arm and it was a rocket. It was incomplete so maybe alot of people over looked it.

In all honestly do you think Brady is taking any form of PED's? lol I know the reaction this question will get. I know he eats and sleeps very well.

No on PEDs. Overreaction. I think a month, nearly two of extra rest is much under appreciated by us outsiders in NFL recovery terms. TB sadly didn't play thru Feb, took limited snaps in TC, played limited in only limited PreSeas games, then took a nice long 5 weeks hiatus. From a rest and recovery perspective, he probably started this season as fresh and injury free as ever in the last 15 yrs.

Well, who knows if he can keep it up, but Ryan is currently on pace to throw 41 TDs vs 7 picks for 5300 yards, 70 percent completion percentage. That's pretty good even if you were TB12.

I don't know, really, if Brady didn't win it, I can't think of anyone I'd root for more than Ryan. A BC kid who had to fight for everything he got. He's no Manning kid.
