I wouldn't be surprised if BB was using that "beef" lineup at Carolina in preparation for the Browns. Obviously Darnold was not going to beat the Pats, and BB knows that if the Browns' running game is stymied, that Mayfield is not going to win the game. Two games in a row that slot together.

Our defensive line can not let the Cleveland offensive line push us around!

Getting everyone ready for Tuesday:

The defense is playing well, need to keep it up!!!!

Maddog Steve Belichick is doing a great job.

Keep sniffing the field. He's high potential. Every position group this kid ever coached was an elite unit. Pats D is good despite subpar players in Mills, Bentley, and Godchaux.

I don't like much about this matchup, I think it could easily end up like the Cowboys game. We can still realistically go 10-7 losing this though.

Tough game against a very talented, but schizophrenic, team. Mayfield is a wildcard here, as always. The Browns had the talent to win a Superbowl, but have not shown the consistency.

As for last week, I was never sold on the Bengals - I've watched them a couple of times and consider them the worst by far of the 5 teams at 5-4 in the AFC. Burrow and Chase are the real deal, and their defense is...okay. They're in last place in the North and I'm not surprised.

Very tough and important game here.

Interesting week from roster perspective.

3 players could be in concussion protocol (2RB & Olsz) + 2 injuries to monitor (Jonnu,Bentley)

6 players are eligible to return. 4 from short term IR: T.Brown, Wino, Perry, Nordin + Wednesday is deadline for activating Stiddy & Cowart

Pats released 3 players yesterday cleaning 1 spot on 53 and 2 on PS. Plenty more moves to come this week starting today.
It will be interesting to see how the roster math plays out and how much stronger/deeper or weaker the team will be on Sunday.

Key questions:
> Will any/some of the injured starters be put on short term IR to make space.
(unfortunately there are quite a few permanently inactive players taking space on the roster that Pats would not like to lose on waivers and cant put on IR - unless a new injury “appeares“ during a week of practice)
> It is interesting that the first cut came from OL - the only unit that can take additional roster spot > so hopefully that means one roster spot is for Trent Brown finally!
> Being tight on roster spots > will they “risk“ waiving Hoyer in a dire QB situation across the league to activate Stidham? Will they carry 3 QBs on 53? Or are they that confident no one will claim him (since they could make this move wo waiver previous week)?
> Will they keep carrying 2 PS LBs on 53 (Tavai, Munson) now that King is back on ST duties (and possibly Wino too)?
Tavai again had a very bad outing coming in for inj Bentley and was soon benched..

Nick Chubb tested positive for Covid 19. He's vaccinated so he can still come back, but big break for us if he can't go

Especially because I don't think Hunt is ready to come back either.

So, what specifically IS the concussion protocol? Details beyond passing the "I'm Batman" test.

I can’t recall any vaccinated players who tested positive early the week (mon/tues) who were cleared to play the same week. There way have been one but it seems unlikely that Chubb will play.

Here’s a tracker. Seems that the mean recovery time is about 7-10 days, and a 4-5 day clearance is rare but has happened a handful of times. The road game makes it a lot less likely.

Cool. Can you post a link to the "Concussion Tracker"?
