Oh I remember. Like I said, he is an incredible running back. But I've been watching the Colts' games, and it's just not true that he's been carrying the team. He plays a large role, but teams have managed to take him away for a few drives here and there and the Colts' offense has kept rolling.I don't know if you remember but; J Taylor gashed us for a little under 200yds Mac Jones Rookie year.
In the first couple games it was true to a point, but over time, Jones has found a stronger form and is making plays at a high level himself. Their air attack is more than carrying its weight when it's had to, which is one of the reasons Taylor has so much room to run.
One thing you should look at if you're really determined to keep that skull of yours fastened shut, is how Jones has reacted to pressures this year. He's been even more efficient when hurried than he is when he isn't. He is really good at getting the ball out both quickly and accurately. The offensive line deserves some of the credit, but we've seen the same offensive line be helpless when Richardson was under center, so the quarterback still has to do his job.
As long as Daniel Jones keeps that ~70% completion rate going, the notion that Taylor is carrying the offense and the QB is a passenger is nonsense. You can't put up the kind of all world numbers that offense is generating unless EVERYTHING is working, and needless to say, that includes the QB.
