Just watched a little of the all-22 to check out Swinson and Chism.
Bradyn Swinson-Was interested to see what he's been working on behind the scenes to refine his pass rush. For the most part its apparently run straight into the blocker and stay there LOL. He badly lost most reps. He did have 2 rep wins against a Tight End but also got pancaked by a TE on a running play. Ran a bunch of stunts but only 1 of them he was able to get him free for a mild pressure. The last 2 plays Ponder was rushing from the other side and got pressure twice while Swinson was doing nothing. Clear difference in these 2 players. Swinson tried 1 spin move, with pretty good success, but lost balance a bit and let QB escape out of pocket to his side. Overall, he has a ton of work to do to stick on the roster next year.

Efton Chism-Didn't hurt his stock at all in this game, technically could have had 4 TD's. If he didn't stumble maybe he goes all the way. He had the one he caught and then twice he got open deep but wasn't thrown to. 1 play was over the middle complete to Diggs but just as Drake went to start the motion to throw Chism's CB stumbled and Chism came free dep but 21 yards to Diggs was the proper read, wasn't enough time to stand in pocket and wait. The other is the photo below, the LB is trying to go deep with him and Dobbs checks it down but check out all the space Chism has. Not sure Chism did a ton on those 2 plays, but he got open so maybe he was smart with the route he took or maybe Jets just stink. What was impressive was his separation ability on cuts. I see why he gets separation. Over and over again he stuck his foot in the ground and made a cut at the top of the route to get himself open. He was open quite a bit but so was the first read. He's not going to run a Kyle Williams set up outside and run straight deep play. HIs sudden change of direction and ability to seemingly find the holes in the defense was impressive. It was the Jets though so....still have to wonder if he can still do it against NFL caliber DB's. Hey, you play against who you play against and he was impressive.

Play below the safety to the top is eying the other receiver, the LB is not going full speed, Chism has a yard step on him when Dobbs passes. Dobbs looks there it's a long TD.

Gotta think film review will show Chism needs to be looked for earlier in Maye's progression. Chiz's future looks bright.

Why would you review film of 19/21/256/5/0 and conclude the QB needs to change his approach to throw quicker shorter passes to his most inexperienced receiver?
That would be a step backward.

I thought Lionel Taylor and Chad Muma made a series of plays at the end of the game. Nothing earth shattering, but they seemed to be where they were supposed to be and made the play.
Leonard Taylor..

If that is Chism deep by the hashmarks, he's got one guy with him and stil the safety over the top at the 50 in the upper right corner of your picture. If Chism is the one at the upper part of the screen by the 0 in the 40, then , again, he still has the safety over the top.

You have to watch the video, safety is looking at the receiver short at the top as CB is passing him off to the safety. Chism is running across the field. No way safety would get there to where Chism is heading and the throw would go. Chism is full speed the Safety is flat footed looking at receiver on his side. LB is not running full speed after Chism either. He's actually side stepping back a little bit with his eyes at the QB, Chism was running right by him.

The pats averaged 33.5 PPG, 418.3 YPG & the #1 EPA offense from weeks 13-17. That wouldn't have been possible if LT was a disaster. Lowe should be re-signed.
It's very unlikely that Lowe will be re-signed. With the large contract that Dan Moore got last year Lowe will probably be signed to be a starter in the 12-18M range.

I didn't renew my NFL.Com PLUS subscription, so I can't see the all-22. When you say that Chism ran across the field, are you saying he was running a post route that took him behind the LB? The screenshot makes it look like he was running a Seam route.

Yes

My new favourite saying " PATRIOTS PORN"
BTW, just finished re-watching the game. So, cold shower or some other option.

Coaching overall has been excellent.

But, 2025 OL coaching really has been as close to the days of Dante Scar as I can remember. I like how Marrone always looks pixxed off even when things are going good. You see him along the sidelines, somewhat disheveled totally focused on his work. Vrabel doesnt need to worry about him.

Remember when people complained the Pats overpaid Stefon Diggs?

Remember when Bills and Vikes fans said "Wait, until you see December Diggs" saying that he falls apart in December?
Diggs needs 30 more yards to reach 1K.

IMO, Diggs was not happy in Minn and Buff because he wanted the ball more because he wanted to win.

A good win yesterday for sure. I like that the Patriots used their RB's split wide as WR's more to make up for the loss of Hollis. I think that it is going to give other teams something to think about going forward. This is why Josh McDaniels is important to the Patriots. Also, they need to give Douglass more targets.
