What an ending! My voice cracked like a teenager in puberty while cheering during the return. Defense was great, offense was rough, but a win is a win and we're gaining ground in the playoff race. Go Pats.
I still can't believe it ended like that. Wow. Marcus Jones has been really good in the return game pretty much all season. It was only a matter of time til he scored on a return. He's been fairly solid on defense as well. Great pick.
This New England offense is not good enough to overcome bad ref calls, and we saw bad calls 4x this game in crucial situations. There were a lot of other bad spots and bad calls throughout but they were not consequential.
3rd Patriot drive, bad spot on 3rd down, should've been 1st down. Instead of going for 7 points, Patriots got 3.
2 drives Patriots get into the red zone, both phantom holding calls each time. Mac Jones and the offense are not good enough to overcome 2 and 20 in the red zone. Or 3rd and 15.
Both of these drives ended with missed FGs.
That's a 10-14 point swing right there.
And then that ticky tack holding call that kept the Jets drive alive at the end.
We arenot good enough to overcome bad reffing, and I really think this was a game of total domination by the Patriots.
The score should've been 13-3 or 17-3 which would've put huge pressure on Wilson to heave them up.
This is the best d in the NFL. Their pass rush + coverage combination is their best since 2014. People can point to opponents but the only way they’ve been beat consistently is with mobile QBs. Garrett Wilson tore apart the bills & he had 12 yards today.
I expect them to play well vs the vikings & keep them in the game. There should be consequences with what’s happening on offense. Horrible
IDK from the first view, it looked like he blocked in the back. But they showed a different angle and it looked like he made a legal block hitting the Jets player on the side.
Listen, Mac had around 250 yds passing. That's the good part. IMO the bad was his pocket decisions weren't great. On a couple of sacks he if he had been able to drop and throw in time he would have avoided about half the sacks. But he was probably trying to avoid the bad play and got too cautious. He was also dealing with 2 OL go out DURING the game and a 3rd one playing hobbled.
Offense isn't that far awayl
Taped the game, Tomorrow I will look it over and break down the OL play
