BAILEY
is injured. I don't see how folks don't realize that this is the case.

Then why hasn't he been on the injury report, like, ever?

Dude's overrated, plain & simple... It's why I would never EVAH draft "specialists" before the 6th round, at the Earliest.

You left out sh.tty fans. Patriot fans are so childish they will run any QB who doesn’t play like Mahomes out of town after two bad series. You would like to think Patriot fans would be smart after a 20 year dynasty, instead they act like f.cking morons any time things don’t go our way. It’s disgraceful.
Mahomes? 2 series? What are you talking about?

I thought the same thing when I read about the firing. I also agree that BB won’t do it, even though he seems to think highly of Reich, based upon his praise of the Philadelphia office during their Super Bowl winning year. He’s not going to cut Patricia off at the knees.
Plus he's not going to hire someone who has no experience in the Pats system.

It’s a bad firing imo. Reich isn’t the problem in Indy. Indy has the same problem that most NFL teams have, lack of a great QB.

Belichick won’t do it but I would hire Reich immediately. I think he’s a really good offensive coordinator, and a good QB coach.
All true this year. Not so sure if this team finishes 8-9 with an offense that continues to wallow in the muck.

I've come up with quite a few different O-line configurations. The best one is probably Wynn/Strange/Andrews/Onwenu/T Brown

I don't think they will do this, too many moving parts but Wynn has shown he is a much better LT than a RT and so far, he hasn't show much at LG.
I was contemplating a line where Onwenu was at RT, but then who do we play at RG, especially with Hines injured.
I think going forward they hope Andrews is back against the Jets and we have T. Brown/Strange/Andrews/Onwenu/Cajuste

Just a hunch.
I would hope they at least consider putting Wynn at LT and Brown at RT when they hit this break...

Im honestly confused why they made the tackle switch in the first place. The line was great last year once karras solidified the lg spot. mac looked fine and comfortable mostly . we could have had mostly the same line with strange replacing karras and onwenu replacing mason. But now its a total mess at rt and that’s been one of the offense’s biggest problems. Not excusing wynn’s attitude or the garbage performance, but the whole shakeup is pretty weird.
Funny you mention this because I said the same thing in another thread after rewatching two games earlier tonight from last season. I didn’t think Wynn was terrible, but two games is obviously a small sample size. They did line Jonnu Smith alongside Wynn quite a bit last season (which helped) and I was thinking maybe they made the switch this year in hopes of freeing him up more in the passing game. But it feels like they created a new problem instead…it’s definitely strange.

Things are quickly getting out of hand over there

Is it really that hard to figure out? One has more term and is actually good.

I think plenty of players have talked about how it can be difficult to switch sides but the fact that Wynn is this bad on the right doesn't automatically mean they made the wrong choice at LT just means we need someone else to play RT. Enter Cajuste and/or Cannon.

We all know the biggest issue is losing Andrews. OL went from struggling to abysmal without him.

Then figure out the RT and LG spots. I think Strange will play better when Andrews is back but Wynn could be the better of the 2 for the short term. At RT I think its Cajuste Cannon or bust. Cannon has been ok but not up to his best yet and between health and just age may not get there I think Cajuste did ok Sunday and Cannons versatility and as tackle eligible it's best if Cajuste starts and Cannon becomes our #1 back up. But he had his own health issues and still has to actually prove he's better.

IMO for either of these combos to have a prayer to work Ferentz can't be on the field. Maybe Ferrentz could hold up if the other 4 we're playing well but he's nothing more than a backup.

good point, i see them on very different teams although i don't know any stats on those formations and only watch highlight videos on other games. We need to get thornton involved and more creative. We barely make play-action these days at least this is what i remember. When you are running that much esp. on first down, play-action seems like an obvious thing to integrate more. I thought they are practicing roll-outs etc. as well during TC but i can't see a lot of this "new" stuff
They ran a good amount of PA with Zappe

I would love to see the stats for teams of making attempts of over ten yards on first down. I bet the Pats are close to the top of the league.

Brown is better But there are still 2 positions to fill here. why force the switch to hopefully make LT marginally better when it can potentially weaken rt drastically? If it aint broke dont try to fix it. They may well have ended up manufacturing this issue because as you mentioned players can struggle with the switch, which is exactly what ended up happening. here we are at week 9 and rt has yet to be solidified. Even brown who’s been mostly good still has had a couple bad games at LT whereas i cant remember any major issues last year at RT.

As bad as it is to scapegoat the coach midseason, it is a worse hiring of a replacement. The Colts are officially tanking.
