Game Day Thread Official Post Game Thread- Pats beat the Colts

THIS IS OUR LIVE GAME DAY THREAD:

This is where we gather to follow things on Game Day. Obviously, emotions tend to be high so if anyone gets a little crazy, the use of the “Mute” button is encouraged on anyone who may be annoying to you to control your experience and to allow the moderators to also enjoy the game.

At the same time, please take a deep breath before over-reacting for the sake of making this a pleasant experience for everyone.

It's super unfair in the MSM that all Pats offensive woes are getting pinned on Mac. Sure, he has something to do with it, on a percentage of the plays. But his gun-shy, afraid to throw current problem is a direct result of all the hate he got the first few games where everyone was destroying him for throwing deep and getting picked. You can't have both!! In a very limited offense (due to ineptitude of offensive innovation) you either sling it with assumed risk, or you play safe and have a lot of 3&out if you're run game isn't dominating. That's who we are now. I hope they reevaluate the whole O this bye, including who's calling plays. But at minimum, they should run the no-huddle spread early in games.

Well it's too early to call him the next Bethel Johnson. But the Patriots need to call his number on plays where they exploit his speed.

What happened to the Jet Sweep play? He scored a TD on one of those.

Oh I forgot, Patricia is our playcaller, his only style is predictable and easily contained play calls. :poop:
This game was never in doubt. Why give future opponents tape of our plays. I think it was a great game plan. Be predictable and gather info on our own players to see how their fundamentals/weaknesses are improving or not. Absolutely no need for flea flickers, jet sweeps, etc. This is the type of opponent that we would beat handily at least 90% of the time with BB as our coach. great job by all the staff on this game.

The “MSM” in Pats’ world (Curran, Perry, Lazar, Bedard) are all outspokenly, lockstep pro-Jones (which I find peculiar).

Why am I not surprised that Wynn is the main culprit in yet another 'lowlights' play. What an absolute bum!
I've come up with quite a few different O-line configurations. The best one is probably Wynn/Strange/Andrews/Onwenu/T Brown

I don't think they will do this, too many moving parts but Wynn has shown he is a much better LT than a RT and so far, he hasn't show much at LG either.
I was contemplating a line where Onwenu was at RT, but then who do we play at RG, especially with Hines injured.
I think going forward they hope Andrews is back against the Jets and we have T. Brown/Strange/Andrews/Onwenu/Cajuste

Just a hunch.

I hate our offense

Pretty much every play went backwards or was a failure on snap. I don't care if you're prime Montana/Brady, if every drive you are at 3rd and 12 with a band aid o-line you're going to have a rough day.

Im honestly confused why they made the tackle switch in the first place. The line was great last year once karras solidified the lg spot. mac looked fine and comfortable mostly . we could have had mostly the same line with strange replacing karras and onwenu replacing mason. But now its a total mess at rt and that’s been one of the offense’s biggest problems. Not excusing wynn’s attitude or the garbage performance, but the whole shakeup is pretty weird.

Was it worth Strange, Jack Jones, Baily Zappe and a third rounder next year that's liable to be at the very top of the round?
Time will tell…I like Strange’s potential if he continues to develop…the tools are there, they just need refinement. It looks like we nailed our selection of Jack Jones (a real ball hawk) and Zappe looks like he can at least be a serviceable back up QB which is just fine for a 4th rd pick. A 3rd next year is the cherry on top.

What if you’re prime Zappe?..

We are literally seeing first hand with the Pats what we have seen from Miami, the Jets, and Buffalo over decades of ruining young QB prospects with bad coaching, horrible line play, and just poor management of a young player who needs guidance and maybe a little nurturing.

I don't know if Mac Jones could have been "The Guy" with good coaching and talent around him, but I do know for certain that they are ruining him now with the current situation.

You left out sh.tty fans. Patriot fans are so childish they will run any QB who doesn’t play like Mahomes out of town after two bad series. You would like to think Patriot fans would be smart after a 20 year dynasty, instead they act like f.cking morons any time things don’t go our way. It’s disgraceful.

Belichick won’t do it but I would hire Reich immediately. I think he’s a really good offensive coordinator, and a good QB coach.
I thought the same thing when I read about the firing. I also agree that BB won’t do it, even though he seems to think highly of Reich, based upon his praise of the Philadelphia office during their Super Bowl winning year. He’s not going to cut Patricia off at the knees.
