I don't care how bad Cincy is, it feels great to get back on the winning side after losing 2 straight. 11-3 now and still the 2 seed, we are in great shape here. On top of that , Edelman only had 5 targets and 2 catches today so he wasn't forced to do too much on that bad knee. Ideally, I'd love if we can skate by Buffalo and Miami (maybe even sit him in this one) with him on a light load, then he'd get 2 weeks to rest for the playoffs if we take care of business.
Offense clearly still has work to do. They got 2 more weeks to find their niche, last year they didn't really get rolling until week 17 anyways. But Harry is showing some flash and could develop into a real weapon by playoff time. Where was Jakobi Meyers? Very good game on the ground, unfortunately I'm pretty sure next week we'll get the Michel 12 carry, 10 yard special so won't be able to build off this one.
The defense and special teams again carries us to victory. I'll take the wins howeve we can get them until the offense starts playing better. Obviously in the playoffs we will need more from that side of the ball. But it's a major blessing to be 11-3 despite so many struggles offensively.
Next week will be a big test, I feel pretty good since we did beat them on their field earlier, hoping we get a little more out of the offense this time around though. Win that one and you can pretty much pencil us in as the 2 seed.
