At the same time, please take a deep breath before over-reacting for the sake of making this a pleasant experience for everyone.
Lastly, we have never allowed promoting the use of any illegal streaming. This is illegal and will be enforced by copyright holders, which puts this site at risk. DO NOT POST ANY LINKS to those platforms.
This also means, there absolutely cannot be any mention these platforms, spaces, special characters, etc. - so do not get creative in trying to work around this request.
If you do you will have your account suspended.
I do not have the means to deal with legal issues and have already been contacted previously, so this absolutely needs to be adhered to. If you see any illegal links, please report them so a mod can remove them.
Speaking personally… the offensive play calling wasn’t bad at all with the exception of the second quarter which felt poor. I expected there was a chance of poor play calling bailed out by talented players, but instead we got decent play calling that was screwed up by players making mistakes.
Disagree. We had some nice inside runs and then they decided to keep banging our head against the wall with the outside stuff, which led us to some 2nd / 3rd and longs. We ended up with 7 points. Don’t think we can give the coaches an ovation for that.
Although I do think the Dolphins controlled the game I will say two positives about the defense:
1. They stopped the run
2. They handled the Dolphins RPO, end arounds, all those plays that exposed our defense's lack of speed last year. We attacked them when they were back there doing their razmataz which is totally different than just reacting like we did last year.
Yep, and that's why I didn't feel creeping dread/inevitability as I watched the game. They lost, but they didn't look athletically outmatched (especially on the defensive front) like they have in the past.
Ooof what a terrible game. Mac's rainbow passes are still waiting to come down.
They weren't one or two plays away. They were a lot more. I mean, how do you take a time out on defense and then get an encroachment penalty? What were they talking about on the sidelines?
Mac wasn't impressive. (Taking off running on a long 3rd down when he had time if he just stepped up?) The OL wasn't either. Defensively they were....okay but offensively the sucked on toast. They even had a chop block on a play with a clear roughing the passer penalty.

Speaking of rainbow passes, I mentioned to my friends who were watching the game with me that he reminded me of Drew Bledsoe. These long looping passes are not going to cut it in this era of the NFL. Hell, they didn't cut it in the later half of Drew's career.
There were plenty of coaching issues in the game. The question is whether that was more about this being week 1 in the NFL or more about the coaching being incompetent. And only time can give us certainty about that.

Tough crowd. I'll give them more than a week. I saw a better OL than you did. I also think the game was in fact decided by a handful of plays - the scoreboard and stat line indicate as much.
Criticism of Mac is fair. Needs to mechanically clean things up and just be sharper, lots of old habits rearing their ugly head like throwing off his back foot. No reason he can't spin the ball well ... he just doesn't set himself up to do so on a consistent basis with his mechanics. Sometimes he rips one, other times it floats. Need to work really hard with him on keeping his mechanics sound when under pressure.
Might be. But there was no reason for Montgomery to go low. The rusher was not a free runner, Montgomery only had a hold him up for a second. Just hit him high to delay his rush even slightly was enough. Stupid play by Montgomery.
