pats offense makes their iffy defenses so much better

I can't get use to the missing first down marker, I feel lost. I watched for years without it, but I guess I am spoiled now.

OT: OAK/LV fumbles, Bills return for TD. Buff up 14 to 7.

McElwain fired! Great first half!

Between blowing up the screen, covering Keenan Allen down the field for 5 seconds & his run defense, Bademosi is a friggin savior this season.

Red zone issues will come back to haunt the Pats

It may not come back to haunt them today or against that high school offense in Denver. Its definitely going to bite them against elite teams like Oakland and Pittsburgh. I'd definitely consider creating a wildcat type offense like Miami years ago.

It's nuts how every new 3rd down back is as good or better than the last. Faulk, Woodhead, Vereen and White have all been really good receivers for the Pats. Have to give the crown to White though.
Jury is still out on Burkhead, he shows flashes of maybe being an upgrade if he gets / stays healthy.

All in all, I'll take the 8 point lead. The issues the offense has had finishing drives in the red zone is a little concerning. If we were a bit better we could be blowing teams out.

Still having run 40+ offensive plays bodes well for the second half.

Also gotta shore up the big play on D. November goals.

I think time has dulled your appreciation for Kevin Faulk.
No love lost for Faulk... he was incredible too. Just love White's receiving skills. But yeah, you could be right, certainly.

Phillip Rivers looks like he is a real ahole.

This team is garbage in the Red Zone. Has to be one of the worst in the league. Denver might hold us to single digits in two weeks. Keep pretending McDaniels isn't a joke. He's had the talent on the field to make up for his complete lack of ability in the past. Not so much this year with all the injuries and personnel mistakes in the offseason.

Defense has settled in nicely after rocky first 2 drives.

Offense is looking very efficient, more like the 04 version than the recent high flying variety which I don't mind long as our D holds up... I'd like to see us use Develin more and really pound teams though.
