I don’t understand those fans who seem to take extreme happiness in the struggles of the Patriots because it means “they were right” in their prognostications of doom. How are you a fan if you take glee in such things?
The offense can score 2 more TDs, but the defense is not going to force 2 punts. Have they even forced one all game? If the offense gets a TD here, they're better off trying an onside kick.
