Are you serious? The guy knows a lot of the plays before they happen. I have never heard a color commentator get so much right. I feel like I'm learning from him.
Maybe not that, but he "might" miss time, maybe. He might also just be realizing his career is going to probably end early and likely didn't want another setback.
He started off the game strong with unique insight. Gotten worse as it's gone on. He is still pretty rough around the edges. Leave the injury stuff alone.
