In terms of pure man coverage, Revis is better. No one better at getting hands on a receiver at the LOS and route mirroring.
Deion is probably the best all-around CB because of his ability to bait QBs, ball-hawk, his ball skills, instincts, and play-making ability. None better.
But in terms of pure man coverage? I'll take Revis.
Some people definitely thought it was an overpay and to be fair you could reasonably have argued that at the time. Then like halfway into his first season here lots of people were criticizing him.
Then he turned a corner and has been more than worth it ever since. Gilmore over Butler was a fantastic decision
