Where is Gronkowski?

We moved the ball on offence and we got stops on defence. It's about clamping down in the red zone and holding the chiefs to field goals, which we've been unable to do so far. I bet we'd be praising the d if it was 17-6

D "has been" shaky? What?

They've played one game and said game has yet to finish. There's no "has been", it's the *first* game of the regular season.

And that's not addressing the ridiculous notion that they were bad last season, which you seem to imply.

Two 90+ yard drives by Alex Smith and that's no problem? Offense carrying defense still IMHO.

Weird Alex Smith's numbers are a lot better than Brady's but Brady has been much better.

Butler didn't touch him. It was the wrong call. It happens.
It was correct. He impeded the receiver from the ball. You can't do that. If he was playing the ball he had a right to the spot. Back to the ball obstructing the receivers path to the catch is pi 100 times out of 100.

Butler complained because he had no clue where the ball was so didn't even know what he did.

Where is Gronkowski?
Might just be me but it feels like the Pats are being conservative with him given how we lost Edelman and now Mitchell for a big chunk of the season.

He looks good. Blaming the TD on him is just a case of someone who knows nothing about football.

Richards reacted too late, Andy. On THAT particular play, he was outquicked to the outside. He's playing a pretty good game otherwise but I just have never liked his lack of speed.

He should of been in that passing lane he was slow to react and he doesn't have good speed to make up for the second or two of being out of position.
He's a in the box safety smart heady maybe the guy you want your daughter to bring home.
However I don't want him in pass coverage on a NFL roster.
I'd like nothing more for him to be the next Pat Chung. But he's James Sanders without the toughness.

Weird seeing Blount Tweet during our games, I had forgotten for a moment he wasn't on our squad and was like wtf?

Is this the superbowl? Longest f'in halftime I can remember in a non-sb game

Damn, i forgit how negative the people are in this thread...i'll tell you how this game is gonna work out. The Chiefs score a TD right after the half with the Patriots anwsering right away. Then the Pats get a 3and out, get a FG, Defense gets a TO, Brady takes Advantage and gets a TD, game over.
Well I think to be fair...no one saw our D giving up so much to a game manager like Smith and Two Weapons....RB almost always do well against Pats but don't score well overall

You cannot ask that player to cover that route. No player in the NFL could have.

Are you a bot ? Do you even watch this game ? What the hell are you spewing ?
This poster has to be a joke. Nobody is this annoying.

Letting teams scored before the half has been nothing new with this team. It's like a bad habit.

Just to put some sanity into the thread:

Brief half time thoughts,

1. The Chiefs were a bit lucky on that PI (which I think was the right call, but in reality it was just thrown up there and Butler lost track of the ball and then the receiver. '

2Defense is not sharp but not bad. It more moving parts that need to develop roles

3. Detrich Wise is flashing a bit. Nice to see that from the "draft class".

4. The 3 and out, which led to the last KC TD looked like the offense was indifferent, like they feel they can score whenever they want.

5. KC is doing a lot of 8 man drops an clogging up the middle. It will be interesting to see how Josh will attack it, especially in the red zone.

6.
