Story of the first half? Missed opportunities and poor Defense. This game is not going the way we need to win it. They better come out in the second half dialed in or they’ll be leaving that door open for a serious let down.
I guess the defense was due to look human again, this is a little less than human though, kinda been awful other than Godchaux forcing the fumble. They absolutely need a better 2nd half.
This first half feels like missed opportunities. We could have closed the half 10 points or even 14 points ahead if that pass to Henry is on target.
Instead a missed interception and a huge missed tackle on the big run by Hilliard makes this a 3 point game and the Titans must be loving their position right now.
I'm not putting that on Jones. Most of the time the ball has to be out before the WR makes his break so he couldn't know that Meyers was gonna run out of bounds, he was throwing to the spot, not the WR.
This why you can't count teams out regardless ofhe the injuries or mismatches, you can't figure on badly timed penalties, TO's, dropped picks , chunk plays. and missed wide open TD passes.
The Pats offense had played really well, but can't finish. The Pats defense, has frankly come back to earth. If the Pats are to win this game, the defense can only allow another 7 point. And if I'm going to cover in my pool it better be only 6
