Why are they taking their time

Why not? They need to score 8 stop KC and score 8 with no time left. IF we give KC time left they will score a FG to win. That is the only realistic path to victory. Why hurry in that case? We want to hopefully bait KC into running 3 times and punting in any case. So why leave too much time?
