Game Day Thread Official Game Day Thread- Pats @ Browns

THIS IS OUR LIVE GAME DAY THREAD:

This is where we gather to follow things on Game Day. Obviously, emotions tend to be high so if anyone gets a little crazy, the use of the “Mute” button is encouraged on anyone who may be annoying to you to control your experience and to allow the moderators to also enjoy the game.

At the same time, please take a deep breath before over-reacting for the sake of making this a pleasant experience for everyone.

Lastly, we have never allowed promoting the use of any illegal streaming. This is illegal and will be enforced by copyright holders, which puts this site at risk. DO NOT POST ANY LINKS to those platforms.

This also means, there absolutely cannot be any mention these platforms, spaces, special characters, etc. - so do not get creative in trying to work around this request.

If you do you will have your account suspended.

I do not have the means to deal with legal issues and have already been contacted previously, so this absolutely needs to be adhered to. If you see any illegal links, please report them so a mod can remove them.

I agree. And to @GreenCow's point, I think Zappe is taking some of the stuff that Mac was overlooking in favor of home runs that he rarely hit. Wonder if it's a bit of a sobering experience...
I said it a while ago but I thought him being sidelined was going to provide some perspective that's likely going to help him. Obviously, we'll see, but I do feel like there were some positives from that.

I think the big thing that Zappe does better than Mac is maintain good technique in the pocket. Mac will square his hips to the line quite easily whereas Zappe remains bladed and steps into his throws whilst sliding.

Zappe is beating Brisset 125 to 21 in qb rating.

Absolutely. It is clear to me that THIS YEAR Zappe gives the team "the best chance to win." I thought that was the standard around ehre, not draft position. Zap beat Mac out: what is the rationale for saying otherwise?
He was third and behind Hoyer for a reason.

Love the decision to give rham a breather. I say let the rooks carry the rock until Cleveland moves closer

There's a world of difference between Mac and Zappe. Not even close.

People are forgetting that this is Mac's first year in a new offense, without McD, and with an entirely new terminology and verbiage. Of course there's going to be growing pains.
Maybe. Zappe has the advantage in not having to unlearn the previous offense. Mac may very well be the guy, but it seems hard to not ride the hot hand.

Yeah, i agree mac was trying to do to much this year. he took what they gave him last year. This year he was trying to force things quite often under pressure resulting in INTs

try actually watching all the games instead of being the ***HAT you are. Seriously. Mac wasn't getting the same protection the first 3 games.
"***hat."? Not to worry, you can still keep that Mac Jones poster over yr bed.

I feel like Zappe actually has better pocket presence than Mac overall which is surprising.
