They showed mercy on us. There's no way they wouldn't have ran right over us and converted that 4th and 1.

Not to start any kind of back-and-forth, but just to point out a depressing similarity:

Both the Patriots and Bucs got taken out by teams that had no business beating them. Both teams are 3-4. Both teams have some soul searching to do. Both teams are in trouble if they don't get things going soon.

And that's going to make Patsfans.com the home of the fellowship of the miserable this week, as Patriots fans can't even say "at least Brady...".

Also one plays in a garbage conference that’ll probably send an 8-9 team to the Super Bowl and the other plays in a conference with the Bills, Chiefs and Bengals.

Meaning season ain’t over for Brady at least.

Another tipped pass

Bears Jones gonna have some more words after the game

I hate to say this but both quarterbacks have looked horrible this game. That last pass should have absolutely been another pick.

This is really a bad loss. The defense can’t defend mobile qbs, which is a big problem for the rest of the season. By far the worst defensive game the Pats have played all season.

Seems like the offense really struggles with pass rushes around the edge.

Crazy how the team can go from looking so good to looking so bad.

Really disappointing loss, I thought the Pats would roll. If the Pats wanted to be a playoff team this is the type of game they need to win. If the Pats lose against the Jets too then they should be sellers at the deadline.
Playoffs?... PLAYOFFS????

Another batted ball from a timed jump because Zappe stared his man down.

I'm very very worried by what we're seeing out of both QBs.

I know we need to be patient, but this is discouraging all around.

Both QBs have been bad.

That was a DART

Two punts, and that last one only because the Bears didn’t feel like going for it

Now they go hurry up

All that effort this offseason has the server handling a Monday night game a lot better...so there's that

With this weird NFL season, take the victories where you can.

WOW. The Bears are the bestest team evah.

Zappe didn't look like a superhero but Mac looked pretty poor in his few series. Who knows what things look like as defenses adjust to Zappe. I certainly don't feel great about the outlook at QB overall after tonight which makes me pessimistic about the team as a whole.

And then... there's the defense...
I feel better about the defense knowing that they don't have any depth behind a guy like Barmore and he was a guy they needed tonight.

As for the QB, I don't know what's going to happen. I'm surprised they struggled the way they did running the ball with Harris back in the line-up alongside Stevenson and expected them to be able to run the ball against the Bears' D which was among the worst in the league against the run. They did a good job shutting them down and forcing both QBs to beat them, which obviously didn't happen.

Well, it’s safe to say that Mac has his job back.
