I guess we shouldn't be surprised the Patriots are an average team at this point.

Won't get any easier next week because the Jets are no longer a joke.

The Jets lost their offense yesterday when they lost a Breece Hall. The Pats should be able to win in NY. But at this point, no team is an easy win.

I’d say put Mac back in, but the coaching staff probably destroyed any semblance of confidence he had by yanking him.

One can argue whether they should have started him, but leaving Mac in, stinking up the joint, with the crowd chanting for Zappe, wouldn't have done him much good either.

Zappe time was fun while it lasted, they have destroyed Mac and now have nothing.

I’ll admit the Pats laid a big fat egg tonight, but holy cow how quickly a lot of the fans are jumping off the bandwagon after two very dominant wins against pretty similar competition in Detroit & Cleveland. The Patriots are a 8-10 win team, I don’t think that changes. They might win a game or two where we expected a loss. Lots of season left. We might not make the playoffs, we’re a bubble team at best, but I’m not completely throwing in the towel after 7 games.

The league's all muddled at the start of this season. But the Patriots are, like last year, a lower half, or at least lower 2/3, team that can win games in the right matchups, and when opponents are missing key players, but cannot be expected to be much more than that.
