Oh, by the way, where are my "Too Much Mack Hollins in the offense" people at?

Come on, don't be shy. Career Season at age 33.
Hollins is not having a "career year". He's having his best year since 2022. And that's a huge difference.

This year:
39/56 for 481 yards and 2 TDs.

His CAREER year:
57/94 for 690 and 4 TDs.

The two things that are "Career" for him this year are the Catch Percentage at 69.6% and the Yards per Target at 8.6. Otherwise, he's not close any of his "career" numbers.

Highest Receptions: 57
Highest yards: 690
Highest TDs: 5
Highest YPC: 15.9

Worst part is that being tackled before the catch caused his head to hit the turf and resulted in his injury.

It didn’t fit the definition but tackling him before the catch was truly a hit on a defenseless receiver, as he was unprepared and unable to protect himself.
It's the definition of Pass interference since the ball was in the air..

Whatever, he’s been really good.

I think the lack of practice contributes to these injuries, these guys aren't prepared for the season like they used to be and they're bigger and faster than ever.

You can't prepare your body for a gruelling season by running around in shorts at half speed with no contact, the less they've practiced the more injuries have happened.

I suppose the fact most of the fields are basically just typically turf stuck on top of concrete now doesn't help either, a lot more knee injuries.
This is a bigger factor, a much bigger factor to me, than the 17th (and 18th) game.

They get 8 padded practices a year thanks to the 2011 CBA, where the players thought they were getting a deal.

Now, nobody can take a hit, because they don't have padded practices or two-a-days in camp. That is the much bigger issue. More concussions, more ankle and knee injuries, way more shoulder injuries - you see players take what look to be 'normal' hits from the 80s or 90s, and they're out for the year. They don't have that toughness in the bank like they used to.

But these injuries would be happening in a 16 game season because they happened in the first 15 c
No. The injuries wouldn't be happening if they had more padded practices that helped the players. That's what you're failing to comprehend. Like always.

**** the dumbass Ravens and **** Harbaugh, that loser ass coach is summed up in that dumbfounded shot of his ridiculously dumb face in the waning minutes of the game, ineffectual and unable to climb Mt. Maye, and **** the refs.

Maye finally put the team on his back (and mcdaniels seemingly had the confidence to LET DRAKE COOK). Just a jaw dropping 4th quarter from Maye. And he's doing this with an aging Diggs and a journeyman receiving corps. Awesome.
It’s not just that Diggs is aging, it’s also that he is still less than 14 months after tearing his ACL. Diggs was going full speed in training camp, nine months later. Normal recovery time is 10.5 to 12 months, with many players not being at full speed for their first season back.

The anterior cruciate ligament, or ACL, is a structure that is critical to stabilizing the knee joint. Tears most commonly occur as noncontact injuries due to a sudden change of direction. The injury has appropriately gotten a reputation as a career-defining setback. 20% of NFL players who tear their ACL never see the field again; those who do return see their productivity decline by about ⅓ compared to their pre-injury selves.

There is no certainty of that, and it would increase injuries in practice.
But ultimately that’s not a function of the 17 game schedule.

Whatever, he’s been really good as the 3rd/4th/5th receiver.

FIFY.

I get it. Hollins has been better than I expected. I've admitted as much. But this is not a "career year" for him by any stretch of the imagination. Hollins brought back the moxie that the receiving corps had with the likes of Edelman and Hogan.

A career year for Hollins would have been hitting 60 receptions and 750 yards with 6TDs. He may hit the 60 receptions, but he'll be lucky to top 550 yards and 3 TDs.

lve wrecking the ravens, chiefs, steelers, seasons most of all.

It’s probably a matter of mastering more routes. He is a late progression on a lot of plays and runs a lot of low percentage routes.
I think it’s a matter of reliability and confidence that he will make the right reads and be in the right place if targeted.

Please indulge my binky boosting. I know Craig Woodson has more to do in coverage but, he is tackling like a 5 year vet. I always keep an eye out for him and he was making a number of open field tackles out there.
He also drew a false star5 penalty on a very critical fourth down play.

Looks we used 6 OL and Westover on the play that Rham scored.

Kudos to all the believers on this board for your faith in the team and the coach and Drake Maye.
You all deserve sincere congratulations.
I admit that I have had serious doubts, but there is something special about Maye and this team.

I am getting out of the prediction game, not good at it.
There is still room on the bandwagon, and you’re welcome aboard
