Official 2022 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

I think Gronk wanted to return but wanted the Bucs to show him the money. Bucs put their wallet away.

Gronk could have been a blocking TE the 1st month while he gets in football shape and really could have helped at the end.
I think he would have stayed a blocking TE, he had no speed left at all.

It all makes sense, till you think about the Raiders side of things.

The man had visibly slowed down his last season playing, he only played 12 games that season, and now he's a year older.

Do you want to sign an older, injury-prone player who is all about self-promotion and the party life, especially if your team is in Las Vegas?

Maybe you have to to get Brady, but IMO it could easily turn out to be a wasted roster spot and salary cap hit.

With Vegas he can be a part time player. They already have Waller Gronks usage would be open on that team

How would winning a SB with a third team hurt his legacy?

He can win 1 game next year and it won’t affect anything

Mark Davis will do literally anything Brady says and Josh might be coaching for his job next season. They’ll do what he wants.
As above I think it'll be interesting if we do end up with Brady in LV, but am pretty skeptical about what the product on the field will look like.

Josh has put himself in a really interesting place.

He kicked Carr to the curb and will be taking a big salary cap hit to do so.

He's gotta think Mark Davis has his back for him to do this.

He's gotta have a better plan than hoping Brady and Gronk will ride into town and save his azz, right? Right? RIGHT???

If he does sign them and the team as a whole doesn't perform, now he has totally blown up the salary cap and will be sent packing.

Yet it's not as if he can just sign a college or vet QB or go with Stid and be OK, right?

Yet this is the same guy who made one of the biggest reaches ever by going for Tebow.

So many different places this could go.

Josh literally has Jared Stidham as QB 1 right now. Yes he’s gonna be desperate.

Being in a proper DC, trade Carr for a #1 and draft an OL if there is one at the end of the round and bring in Gronk.

Nobody is trading a 1st for him LV should be happy with a 2nd they’ll be saving 29mill as is

Reminds me of us two years ago, lol. Sniff.

Maybe Cam will come back into the picture?

Him and Gronk, that'd be wonderful!

No one will be dumb enough to trade for Carr, to do so means taking his contract, they'll just wait till LV cuts him.

Oops, I forgot, da JETE are more than dumb enough!

they should trade Carr for a 2nd to someone then trade 2 2nd rounders or a 2 and 3 for Ramsey

When is the last time a big FA chose the Raiders and was happy with that decision a few years later? Or for that matter, a player got drafted by them and didn't spend a miserable career in black and silver? They're probably the closest org to the Jets, in terms being so toxic that it's always a lose-lose for the team and player.

Yeah but in all fairness, it is pretty easy to be miserable in Oakland.... but those days are over and it's Vegas 24/7, baby!

How Leftwich is still standing right now is embarrassing for TB.
I think it comes down to Brady. If Brady leaves they might choose to stick with Leftwich and Bowles as coaches to tank a couple of seasons to get some prime draft capital.

Wouldn't be surprised to see them trade Mike Evans in the offseason.

Either way I could care less unless Brady returns to TB next season

It's worse that they seem to be moving forward with Bowles. There are only 32 of these jobs on the planet. It's unbelievable that Bowles is occupying one of those spots.

I think he needs to go either way but I agree it's not our concern. I bet BA is blocking any firings.

Ya I wouldn't want to play for that owner in a city with no real fans. I think he should retire but if he wants to play and they are committed to building the OL it might be his best realistic shot. If SF calls he would find a way to go there and see his kids.

If Brady goes to the Raiders how many new names can he add to his touchdown receptions list?
