Official 2022 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

It's a rebuild or reload if you will so you might as well keep the ****ty coach another year or so until you figure out the QB situation. If they want Brady to come back they'd have to bring back BA and get a LT and new DC. I've been saying it for 3 years but that defense sucks and it sucked all 3 years unless the Offense could get a lead. You can't just ignore coverage.
I think Bowles makes that defense worse. In additional to being an obviously disgraceful HC, he's generally not a good DC either. His defenses are undisciplined and prone to huge breakdowns in coverage. This season in particular the defense couldn't tackle either.

I don't much care if Tom plays next season or not, I'm confident he won't be playing for the Patriots and that's my team. I'd kinda like to see him on LV just to see how that would go, but as others suggest, their OL sucks and Tommy doesn't like to be touched never mind hit these days.
I think a key factor will be if Gronk decides to unretire again and follow Brady wherever. If Brady and Gronk sign with LVR then Brady has Gronk and Waller at TE which is another shot at a Gronk-Hernandez type duo. Along with Adams, and a decent slot in Renfro, I can see Brady thinking it's too good of an opportunity to pass up.

It's always been like that. He likes guys like White who looks shinny but actually suck. They roll the dice everytime they are out there and sometimes he looks good because it works. Smart teams destroy defenses like this and he reminds me a poor man's Rex Ryan and that's not saying much.

Umm Favre on the Jets in 2008 was fantastic but then broke something in his elbow in like week 10. Then the next year he was the MVP runnerup. So not the analogy you want to make.

no chance in hell I’d go back to Tampa even though they fired the idiot OC. Brady didn’t want to be there this year in the first place.

I think the Raiders are the best if the 49ers aren’t an option, especially after reading the post in this thread where they’d have around 32 million to spend + the 7th pick in the draft after signing/re-signing Brady, Gronk, Jacobs. and Brady knows McDaniels offense in his sleep

He’s almost definitely out of Tampa unless there’s a totally new coaching staff. But I want him back somewhere and I legitimately don’t understand why anyone who likes Brady wouldn’t want him to keep playing if he can still play at a good to great level with a great team around him. What’s the harm? Why does it seem repulsive to some people?
I want Brady to continue because it's just more interesting with him there. Sort of like when Tiger's playing in a tour event, it just becomes more entertaining. Brady also has a shot to still play at a high level given the right situation which I think LVR can offer. Unless somewhere else comes to light, LVR seems to be the spot, and I think potentially it's an excellent fit.

I didn't find it entertaining at all. The narrative is entertaining but watching games was brutal and I turned off many of them. Brady went along with these game plans and of course he can't fix the OL which was a major issue for him as a player but I just don't see any situation that would be good for him next year. LV and TEN are **** shows. The Saints with Sean or 49ers? He'd be better off in NE than almost all those teams and that will never happen.

Was awesome seeing the GOAT on the Bucs. I hope he stays there and I think he really enjoyed his time there. I think that team can run it back and they'll be healthy this time.

Less happy seeing him in Raider silver and black and really won't be happy seeing him play for the Dolphins for obvious reasons.

LVR seems to be the obvious place to be.
They check all the boxes.

Vacant QB opening
Top and familiar offensive coaches
Top 5 WRs/TE group
Top 5 RB
Lastly all signs indicate that they want Brady.

From Brady's perspective, it's only the OL that needs an upgrade and I'm sure they will be committed to that.

Doesn't their defense suck too?

Also forgot no home field and a meddling owner.

In my opinion it will be either the Raiders or the Bucs.

I think at this time the most likely scenario is that the Bucs will hire BOB as OC and Brady will stay but we will see.

Toilet Bowles is still hard to overcome

He was more inaccurate than any year I've seen and even though he's still better than alot of QBs I just don't see the need to continue to go down this way unless you end up on the 49ers. LV has no OL and that's a problem. Miami would be fools to not pick up Tua's 5th year despite new age medias attempt to retire him.
The thing is, he has to know he's in decline, and at some level has to be asking himself if he wants to keep playing when he knows it's all down hill from here. The look of pain on his face when he threw that INT last night was intense. The way he smacked his own head showed he knew it was a mistake. Then, just grabbing his knees and sighing. Does he really want to sign up for more of that?

Personally, I think he's done, done, done with Tampa. He's smart enough to know their window is closed.

I think maybe LV can put together a proposal that might be enough to get him to put off FOX for another year.

Gronk is done, done and done. He had a great run, but he's gotten all he can get out of his body.

He said he was trying to throw it away but didn’t put enough on it

And an elite running game

There it is in nutshell. The situation in LVR is too good of an opportunity to pass up.

If Gronk is itching to come back. Which is a real possibility as he had reached out to the Bucs during their bye, he could be the catalyst for Brady deciding to play one more year.

This guy again.
