Official 2022 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

OK, trying this again. Today was the first time in Tom Brady's 23-year NFL career (381 games) he had all the following in one game: 400+ yards 75% completions 45+ passes without an INT Only 10 such games in NFL history. Brees and Roethlisberger are the only guys with two.

Bucs have three wins coming back from double-digit deficits in the last five weeks. They've only done that three times in an entire season before twice -- in 2020 on the way to a Super Bowl championship, and in 2008.

Bucs have eight wins this year, and in five of them (including today) they scored more points after the start of the fourth quarter than they totaled in the first three quarters. Both Saints wins, Rams, Cards, Panthers: 28 points after 3 quarters 74 points after start of 4th

How's that list of Brady's possibilities for next season looking now??

Bowles said Brady had more time to throw it today and Evans had more time to get down the field which is why the pair were able to connect on 3 deep td’s.

Rookie punter Jake Camarda saves Bucs' season on a play that didn't count

I guess the Brady-Evans connection woke up today...

12 targets
10 receptions
207 yards
20.7 Y/R
3 TDs

Didn't see that coming.

Thanks John Madden

To be fair, it only took him until game 16 to finally verbalize what every single intelligent viewer has been pointing to as the problem since week 1.

With the Bucs clinching the NFC South title today, they also lock in a return to San Francisco to play the 49ers again in 2023. They also will play at Buffalo as a result of their divisional finish.

Whoever wins the NFC East title next weekend — Eagles or Cowboys — that team will play the Bucs in Tampa next season as part of the 2023 schedule.

The Bucs are headed to the playoffs for the 3rd year in a row. That's only happened one other time in franchise history (99-02). It's been a rough year, Bucs fans, but soak this up.

Bucs right tackle Tristan Wirfs was asked what he’s going to tell his future children about playing with Tom Brady: “Just gonna tell ‘em he was an old dog.” He joked, “Yeah he still surprises me. His old ass threw what? Like a 60-yard bomb?!”

Anthony Nelson, who has now had two takeaways the last two weeks, said of Tom Brady, “It’s almost like a sick joke because you’re just sitting on the sideline 14-0 and you’re like, ‘[No.] 12 will do something. He’ll figure it out.’ … That really motivates us as a defense…”

Some real Super Bowl 51 halftime energy here. When Chris Long was downcast and pissed off in the lockeroom and either Devin or Danta went to him "We've got Brady, we've got this." Now not quite as dramatic but still.
