Official 2022 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Because of other engagements, I didn't watch any of the games today, beyond about 10 plays combined between the Patriots and Bucs games, and will have to wait on replays. So what happened with Miller?
A lot of drops and no separation

Tom Brady's 190 passing yards today are his second-fewest in 41 games with the Bucs -- he had 166 in the easy 38-10 win over Packers in regular season in 2020.

Busy dropping balls and when he wasn’t doing that he was tripping over the turf after running by his man

“Jules. It’s Tom. Yeah kids are good the wife’s a bitc.h yeah you know how it is. Anyway that knee, can it make it through one game? That’s all I need. Yeah Chris will be back in a couple weeks so just the one game. Look get back to me by Tuesday thanks.”

"Tom, it's Jules. No, I don't know how it is because I was never stupid enough to marry an entitled diva. Yeah, my knee probably could make it through one game but the Patriots haven't called yet, so I'm good. Congrats on the win, enjoy 'em while you can."

Damn bunch of stalkers around here. I don't get the laughing emojis

Before the season started too many experts and regular fans said that the Bucs would start 2-2 at best before the schedule opens up. Well now they’re 2-0 with both victories being on the road. And the defense is clicking to hold the fort while the offense gets healthy. Also it feels like everyone else in the conference sucks. Anyone down about the team is dumb and that includes Brady if he is.

He's down on the team?

Was it a big part of the scoring problem, in your opinion, or just one among others?

A couple were on 3rd down stalling drives this included when evans got ejected. Saints defense is elite so scoring when your WR are Miller, Permian, and gage will always be difficult but the bright side is the line played really well

That was a big game
For the Bucs. Two road wins to start of the season.

Defense in great form.

I actually think Brady is playing really well - not much help out there today but that was a huge huge game against a division opponent they historically struggle with.

They’re going to need Julio back next week can’t imagine them bringing Godwin back next week - Scottie miller my god - he is so fast but just has no confidence

I read that there was alot of pass interference from the Saints that weren't be called. On one deep throw to Miller, Lattimore was blatantly holding him back by the arm. Causing Miller to fall.

There were also a lot of drops. On one replay again to Miller he tries to make a diving catch but stupidly with only one hand. If Miller stretched out with both hands, it had a much higher chance of being caught.

Agree that Brady is playing well. He's just not getting the stats or the points yet because some of those throws are difficult catches that the less talented/polished players have a hard time reeling in such as throws to TEs not name Gronk. Or throws to less polished players such as Miller/Perriman.

Gage hasn't shown much yet,..

I honestly think he's playing at his best since he's arrived to Tampa. Saints D just knows how to get to him. He seems like he knows the playbook inside and out now.

He was wide open on the touchdown pass. Guaranteed first down as nobody around him. There was another play earlier where Brady didnt have the right amount of hang time to hit him in stride, ended up being an incompletion.

Seems like they don't have that chemistry yet. Miller got more targets than Gage lmao

Injuries happen in football, and no position, or style of play, is immune. But Lance's injury once again demonstrates the extra danger of relying on a running QB.
