Official 2022 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

I think the problem came when AB told BA that he was hurt and BA told AB to get lost, which he did, dramatically and in living color.
Yes, but I think what preceded that was Ariens telling him Brown to go in the game.

It's no sure thing that Gronk will be back.

He recently hosted the Nickelodeon award and has become a much better entertainer. If it's about money, he might be able to make just about as much money from all his gigs then from playing football.
I expect Gronk does come back it will be shortly before training cam starts or even after that. I'm not sure he wants to play a 17 game season.

Bucs bringing another free agent back for 2022 -- defensive linemen Pat O'Connor, who led the team in special teams snaps, has agreed to terms on a one-year deal. Missed end of last season with a knee injury.

Bucs continue to be able to bring back depth on "veteran salary benefit" contracts -- DL Pat O'Connor's one-year deal is minimum $1.035 million base ($350k guaranteed), with $100k roster bonus, another $52,500 roster bonus if he's on roster Week 1.

By my count, that's eight VSB deals for Bucs signing free agents this spring: Keanu Neal, Logan Ryan, Breshad Perriman, Josh Wells, Ryan Griffin, Kenjon Barner, Rashad Robinson, Pat O'Connor. Nice cap savings, counting less than actual salary for each.

Oh, Gio Bernard too, so that’s nine.

(It’s only eight. Ryan isn’t a VSB because he’s getting paid by the Giants.)

Just to update the numbers -- Bucs have now re-signed 12 unrestricted free agents from their 2021 team: Chris Godwin, Carlton Davis, Ryan Jensen, Leonard Fournette, Will Gholston, Blaine Gabbert, Gio Bernard, Aaron Stinnie, Zach Triner, Josh Wells, Pat O'Connor, Breshad Perriman.

Still unsigned as free agents from 2021 Bucs: Rob Gronkowski, Ndamukong Suh, Jason Pierre-Paul, Kevin Minter, Steve McLendon, Pierre Desir, Richard Sherman, Andrew Adams, Curtis Riley.

Lavonte David says he might have been playing at 60 percent last year when he came back from his foot injury. Looking forward to being fully healthy this season.

Bucs LB Lavonte David says he played with a Lisfranc injury and said he was 60 percent during the playoffs last season. He did not need surgery.

Tristan Wirfs reaffirms no surgery needed on his injured ankle, says he’s progressing fine. Case in point: He arrived at this presser with bare feet and nary a strand of ankle wrap.

Even good/very good but not elite QBs are getting $40 million a year such as Carr and Stafford.

If Brady has a good 2022 season and decide to come back for 1 more year, his home discount rate would probably be in the 35 to 40 million range. Hope it's back with the Bucs. I just don't know how good he'd look in a dysfunctional Dolphins uniform.

I like Carr and I also like Cousins. The question for these teams shouldn't be is he 'worth' 40mil, because obviously he's not, it's what can they do to replace him? They can't. He's their best shot and with the cap being bypassed and rising revenue this is the cost. I like what McDaniels is doing over there. Unfortunately he's in a bad division.

I hope it's with them too.

If he's in Miami well..I could stomach him being in their front office but not if he actually plays for them.

Can Glazer get him a good deal on some real estate?

The Packers are adding another WR, on the cheap, as they try to make up for Adams' departure:

Packers are giving former Ravens’ WR Sammy Watkins a one-year deal worth up to $4 million, per source.

I hope it's with them too.

In addition, Bills and Pats will be tough to play against 4 times a year.

Miami is just not a good fit and I can't see him going out in a down season like that. I think the noise is coming from the Miami owners, not Brady.

If he stays healthy that could be a nice pickup for them
I thought Watkins was on his last leg as he seemed to be around forever but just checked and he's only 28. Wonder why his production dropped after his first couple years in Buffalo.

The foot issues

This is why the people who believe the Brady to Miami rumors are clowns or just looking for drama

So you want us to believe two clowns in a youtube video? They are Bucs fans. Of course they are going to say Brady to Miami was fake news.
