Julio's not a down field threat anymore. And Evans is total garbage this season. Between that and the pass protection issues, their passing game this season is inherently limited to short and intermediate throws. They posted a stat about Brady and passing game last night, talking about 10+ air yard passes. It was intended to put Brady in a poor light over the ints, and I think they got the stat wrong, but I think that stat as they posted it really highlighted the problem for the Bucs, and for other teams with serious OL struggles. It was after the second INT, I think, and it was something to the tune of Brady being 1 for 4 with 2 INTs on passes of more than 10+ air yards.
The bottom line is that you can't throw downfield if your QB can't be protected. And this is nothing new to Patriots fans. We saw this in 2019, just as 2013 showed us that you have to have at least some NFL talent at the WR position or your QB is going to suffer for it.
You're making too many excuses for Brady. Yes, the OL has not held up, the OC lacks creativity, the run game is non-existent but Brady has also had bad games. He hasn't been as accurate on his deep passes. Brady is still a good QB and has overcome some of these challenges because of it but he's also been off.Who is Brady throwing to down field? Mac is 5-7 with 9 TDs, 8 INTs, 0 fourth quarter comebacks, and 0 game-winning drives. You're making too many excuses for Brady. We need to be consistent. We can't hold Mac accountable for his poor play despite a lot of the same issues that Brady is facing but then absolve Brady. That just makes you a blind homer.
Evans may be suffering from Bowles syndrome. Clearly Arians was a much better motivator. Evans looks like he needs a fire lit under his ass and that's not coming from sleepy Bowles. From day one this season, Evans has looked disengaged, then he lost his composure in week 2, looked invested for one week after his suspension, but then has fallen off a cliff since. He's a liability at this point, which is ridiculous in consideration of his value in 2020 and 2021.I can't understand what the issue is with Evans. After 3 years together he should be on the same page as Brady. Evans is on a different chapter.
Nobody is arguing that. You consistently blame everyone and everything else for Brady's drop in production. At the same time, you don't do the same with Mac. Though you do acknowledge the OL, OC failures for Mac, you allocated the blame as follows:Mac is 5-7 with 9 TDs, 8 INTs, 0 fourth quarter comebacks, and 0 game-winning drives.
Brady is 7-8 with 21 TDs, 9 INTs, 3 fourth quarter comebacks, and 4 game-winning drives.
Even in a down season Brady is still having a far more impressive season than Mac.

55% on Belichick, Patricia and Judge
28% on Mac
17% other
With Brady it's like:
90% on Bowles, Leftwich
0% on Brady
10% other
You just come across the same way the Mac-apologists do, blind homerism.
I'd say 50% Bowles/LeftwhichThat math checks out to me.
Of Brady's 9 interceptions, my guesstimate are 6 of them were on throws to Evans.I can't understand what the issue is with Evans. After 3 years together he should be on the same page as Brady. Evans is on a different chapter.
I stand by the Patriots percentages. The Vegas situation doesn't change it much because the coaches and players f*cked that up together. Including Mac on that feeble attempt at "tackling" Chandler Jones. Lots of equal blame to go around for that disgusting first half showing against the Bengals too. I'm not getting on Stevenson for the fumble. The conservative play-calling (and apparent lack of confidence in Mac) made that situation way too predictable and the Bengals defense also made a nice play.Nobody is arguing that. Regarding the Tampa Bay blame pie:
55% on Bowles and Leftwich
15% on all components of the running game
10% o-line
10% injuries
5% other
5% Brady (I'm not putting more on a guy who has 4 game-winning drives out of 7 victories)
Brady has been awful the last 4 games. He has been managing the situation well the first 11 games with only 4 turnovers. The last 4 games he has nine. 7 INT and 2 fumblesNobody is arguing that. Yup.Brady has been awful the last 4 games. He has been managing the situation well the first 11 games with only 4 turnovers. The last 4 games he has nine. 7 INT and 2 fumbles
He still has one of the lowest INT% (1.1) in the league (tied for #3). It's when they hurt you that it sucks, like against CIN. That was all on Brady.Brady has been awful the last 4 games. He has been managing the situation well the first 11 games with only 4 turnovers. The last 4 games he has nine. 7 INT and 2 fumbles
"Awful" is too strong when he put the offense on his back and won two of those games. Every game he's opposing his own head coach as well as the other team.Brady has been awful the last 4 games. He has been managing the situation well the first 11 games with only 4 turnovers. The last 4 games he has nine. 7 INT and 2 fumbles
