Or they would have picked him if they couldn’t trade but like a bunch of guys just as much, which is the traditional trade down reason

I don't love it. We moved back 8 spots on a team with holes everywhere for a third round pick and some junk.

Except that most people who know more then we do about this draft say that the value is in rounds 2-4.

If they trade up into the early 2nd, it's a great trade. They can end up with Booth and Travis Jones, and no one will be complaining.

A late 3rd and an early 4th can easily be packaged together to become a trade up for a 2nd. They didn't only get a 3rd, they got 2 picks.
