Extremely disappointed with the outcome of today’s picks. Chicago 2nd does not help us whatsoever this year. And trading up for Dawson was bad value.

Realistically, no one they could draft in the 2nd round was going to help this year either. Honestly I think they'd run into roster issues if they used all their picks. It's the good problem of being a good team; you end up having to cut good players to slot in younger, less NFL ready guys who might end up being a lot worse than the guy you cut.

BB's very ballsy to come back with this defense with some guys coming back from injury and some moves upfront. I still think this defense will be middle of the pack next season. They will games and likely the division but will it be a championship defense? That remains to be seen. They will allow a ton of yards. Bend but don't break

Hightower, Robeets
Van Noy, Langi
M. Flowers

Ballsy by BB IMO to test fate again with this group. My only serious complaint so far.

Roberts getting significant snaps in meaningful games is just asking for it. Just think how McD would exploit that kind of LB if our offense faced that type of defender.

Mediocre draft so far. Needed to secure one of those athletic LB's in the 1st round and didn't do it. They've added depth to the crowded OL and the crowded CB corp, added some potential pop at RB, but sadly they've not addressed their glaring needs on defense. VERY disappointing.

This is really simple if you understand a simple concept:

The Patriots reject the notions of "windows" and "rebuilding years."

They see their mission as to be in "make it deep into the playoffs every year" mode. BB is willing to trade away future picks if he thinks the help now is greater than the future value, and willing to trade for future picks if he thinks the future help is greater than the present value.
