NFLN morons: Patriots will "take a step back" this season

One thing about me though is if I do make any comment I do so with reverting to insults.

I think this may be my new tag line....yea or nay??

I do so WITHOUT reverting to insults.

what was that?...I didn't quite catch that...want to go over it one more time?...

the jets suck ergo propter the jets suck....no wait,

Ah screw it, I'll fail that test joker

I would like to know how I have insulted another poster?

Right now, the "experts" are looking at a slice in time and making a static observation about a fluid situation.

But that's not being very "expertly." What riled me was goofs like Screaming Clown Sanders and Sharper speaking with certainty ("declaring" sans qualification) that the Patriots have taken this supposed "step back" and are behind Denver and Houston. Perhaps they are, but we have no way of knowing that yet. Well, most of us don't except for omniscient types like Deus.

Christiancat - personally, you insult me every time you post because it has nothing to do with this years' New England Patriots. No offense. I have not read a single post from you regarding this years' prospects of this years' team.

how does one explain existence?...you should retreat to the Sinai desert for 40 days and 41 nights to meditate on this enigma...

Tune - I would be a little concerned when it comes to the Texans as well. Foster and Tate are both banged up. Add that to an aging AJ and their offense could have even more issues than it did last year in the playoffs.

Ok - since we are here talking about opinions, how about an opinion on the Patriots from two of the longest standing fans of the New England Patriots, demosthenes and Christiancat.

Come on boys, tell us what you think about the prospects of this years' New England Patriots, based on who you think is going to make the 53-man roster.

I am sure that we are very interested in what you think about this years' team.

I think that the Pats will be fine. Brady will put up Brady numbers like he always has. Amendola might not do exactly the same kind of things as Welker, but he'll put up a lot of production. My memory is somewhat faulty, but I don't recall Welker being an "All word receiver" until he got up here and had Brady throwing to him. If Amendola can make it through the season and not get injured, he'll put up good numbers. Edelman and Boyce have also looked good according to most reports I've seen.

It looks like Brady will have some receivers with size and speed this year. Dobson and Thompkins have been having a good camp so far, from what I have read. Can't wait to see how they do in preseason games.

I like the fact that Brady has new guys around him and think that he'll distribute the ball more. To me, this is a plus. Reasoning, I look at Detroit with Megatron putting up stupid stats, and noticed that Detroit sucked. Arizona also came to mind with Fritz putting up nice numbers, yet they have sucked as well. Spreading the ball out more means that we won't be slowed down as much by opponents trying to take certain targets away, or that injuries would be as harmful.

TE situation could be better, but Fells has looked pretty good as has Sudfeld. Won't compare to Gronk and Ahern, but will be fine especially if/when Gronk comes back healthy. Haven't read all that much about Hooooooom.

RB situation is all to the good. Pats were 7th in rushing last year with Ridley and Vereen. Have heard good stuff about Bolden, haven't heard too much positive about Blount.

That covers the skill positions. Good enough ?

Oh, make up your mind! I swear, just like Tebow: "Do I throw it? Wait, he's not open. Maybe if I scramble a bit ... YEOW, where did HE come from?! Should I just throw it out of bounds? No, I can gain a few yards ... UH OH!"

how does one explain existence?...you should retreat to the Sinai desert for 40 days and 41 nights to meditate on this enigma...

I get along with plenty of posters on here who aren't Tebow fans.

I am here to support the Pats. It is time to grow up and starting being more tolerant of others.

Obviously no one knows for a fact. It's conjecture. The question is whether there's a reasonable basis for it. Like it or not, there is said basis.

This doesn't mean that you can't disagree with them, for the very reasons that you have stated. And it doesn't mean that they will be proven correct.

Life is short. Tolerance is overrated. So is "growing up."

So Christiancat - are you going to leave Demos hanging as the only new member of the website who came over when Tebow signed who has an assessment of the Patriots and what their prospects are for this year?

We really want to know other than the standard Seinfeld line - "I am here to support the team."

And their schedule for this year?

Haven't even looked at it yet. Doesn't really matter to me at this point because I don't know who's even going to be on this team, let alone who's going to be on the teams that we are playing.

Ok - that is fine. Lets just put it this way. By the end of the year - one of the most important players that will be on this roster is going to be Jamie Collins because of the running backs that they will have to matchup against.

No, there is not. Not yet. We won't know until the team starts playing. People are looking myopically at WR/TE and not considering other very important aspects as part of the overall team picture.

Ummm, have we really even identified what base defense we are running this year ? In a number of threads, that still seemed to be in question.

I am here to support the team. I will do so by doing these 3 things. Not by providing you with a couple of paragraphs about the team.

1) Supporting the PatsFans.com site

2) Going to the games and cheering for the Pats

3) Buying Pats team merchandise
