I'm enjoying this one. A defensive battle after all the blow outs we've seen in prime time lately is welcome.

A 3-0 game midway through the 4th quarter in theory sounds intriguing, but in reality it's kind of dull. Both defenses are playing great, both offenses are playing poorly.

Through these first 7 weeks the jones trade is definatley looking like a mistake. Can anyone verify if we kept him for this season that we would be over the cap? Otherwise why not just keep him for this season.

Don't discount what the Pats are asking them to do. For instance, most of today the D lineman were getting straight up double teamed. Pretty hard to get around that. Long was working hard today, just no where to go. He's not Jones, but he's good enough.

Because that is now how good/smart team building works. It would be great if we could just "keep" all these good players. But we cant if we want to contine being the Patriots.
