I think the GM is more of a culprit than Payton. They have **** quality overall, no cap space. Plus their QB is not Brady and thus doesnt challange father time

I think it's all just about getting Brees the TD and yardage records in New Orleans. Doesn't matter if they go 4-12 the next 3 years as long as Brees breaks Peyton's passing records. Payton's being kept around just for that purpose.
