The top 4 seeds were all Super Bowl winners most years. Patriots had the 4th seed and went 12-4

2006 colts were one of the worst super bowl winners of all time. The 14-2 Chargers choked. The 2006 Patriots had no offense. The Bears were just happy to be there with their garbage QB carried by a kick returner and no team in the NFC could challenge than fraud lowly bears team.

It was a competitive year but not an overly good one. I guess we remember it very differently. The best team was honestly the chargers but they didn't know how to win.
