Chiefs gonna win the division!

Very happy for Cassel, Vrabel and company.

Agreed. They're killers. I still think of that Maroney fumble on the goal line against the Colts last year.

That last Jacobs fumble is a killer because he had picked up a first down and put the Giants in a great position to score and get back into the game until the fumble.

Yeah that fumble pretty much dug the Giants in.

I'm glad bjge is a RFA because I could see him get decent offers if he was a UFA.

Oakland losing, which is nice.
Cincy winning, which helps that #33 pick.
Jets lost, which is sort of irrelevant but fun nonetheless. What will those guys do this week? I'm guessing implicated in an organ theft ring.

I think Sanchez will finally be outed.

It's official

Chargers eliminated from playoffs

After 5 straight years in the playoffs, they finally miss out. So much for them being the "hottest" team and being the team "no one wants to face"

I think you guys can fill in the message .

Broncos win, Texans blow 17 point lead.

They are so awful.

Patriots officially have the 1st pick in the 2nd round of the 2010 draft.

The chiefs will play the raiders next week. They dont have to play their starters but if they lose and the colts win then they will play the ravens at home.

If the Falcons win tomorrow, Bucs control their playoff fate in week 17 and could knock the Saints out of the playoffs.

What's better than a NY team losing?

Both NY teams losing ... sweet.

Another Sunday with a veritable blizzard of Manning bros picks. We are truly blessed.

I'm sure we'll see lots of media members calling the Packers "classless" tomorrow for running up the score on the Giants. Right?

How 'bout dem Giants!!

Heh Heh...

And they'll be stuck in Green Bay to think it all over, too...

Speaking of the media I watched the Pats game at a Bears bar today. Fun watching the Jets implode between Buffalo turnovers. Irritated the Bears fans a bit when the Jets got their final possession and I told the bar folk I would hold them personally responsible I I had to listen to a week of mediate praise of The Sanchize for a 4th QTR comeback. Thankfully, the trademark lose the game pick soon followed.

John Fox (2-13)
Marvin Lewis (3-11)
Eric Mangini (5-10)
Gary Kubiak (5-10)
Mike Singletary (5-10)
Jeff Fisher (6-9)
Tony Sparano (7-8)
Norv Turner (8-7)
Tom Coughlin (9-6)

Intermin
Eric Studesville (1-2)
Leslie Fraizer (2-2)
Jason Garrett (4-3)

Could be a lot of coaching changes next season...

If the Falcons win tonight...

Falcons will have clinched the #1 seed. Then next week...

Saints
1. Lose to Bucs
2. Packers OR Giants win
= Eliminated

Bucs (Week 17)
1. Beat Saints
2. Packers OR Giants lose
= Clinch #6 seed

Interesting observation from Peter King today:

I think if I'm the Bengals, there's got to be a moral to the story of Carson Palmer having his best game of the year, by far, with Terrell Owens and Chad Ochocinco on the bench. Go ahead and howl, all you T.Ocho fans. But football's played best when it isn't a sideshow, when the quarterback can go back from center without having to worry about placating any receivers.

King went on to compare it to Romo having his best year after TO left. Amazingly, he didn't make the connection to the Brady/You-Know-Who situation until a reader pointed it out via Twitter.

As King says later, we'll see how Palmer does against the Ravens. But I wonder if we'll see a trend where these spotlight-loving WRs start to become less attractive to teams. I think we all agree Chad O is a gamer -- just as #81 was -- but I think his need for attention is too much to risk bringing him to New England, as some (including me) have thought might happen.

Palmer's problem has been lousy reads and bad throws.
