You can't pretend their awful coaching and injuries are not part of the picture. It's pretty clear why they have spurts of looking good and it's because it happens in spite of those things.

Leftwich has been the OC the entire time Brady has been with the Bucs.

Brady is 45 years old. It is ok to accept that maybe that Father Time is finally catching up with Brady. Brady has played at a far higher level for the last five years or so than most people would have thought five years ago. But let's face it. He is starting to show his age.

Well Tampa's about to lose and Carolina's probably about to win. Tampa will be 6-7 and Carolina will be 5-8. Tampa and Carolina have a game remaining; Carolina won their last matchup, if we assume Carolina wins again then both teams would have the same record and Carolina would have the tiebreaker, therefore Carolina would be the division leader. At that point, it's a matter of if Tampa wins more games than Carolina in their other matchups:

Carolina: Pittsburgh, Detroit, New Orleans
Tampa Bay: Cincinnati, Arizona, Atlanta

Carolina probably has the slightly easier path, and just would need to stay tied with Tampa to remain above them.

Purdy will likely come down to Earth. We've seen this happen numerous times. I'm not rooting against him, but historically it's not likely he becomes some type of franchise QB.

Rumor was Brady forced Arians out of the offense and Brady installed his offense. Words were that Arians scripted the first set of plays and that was about it and Brady changed the plays at the line. Brady wanted Arians gone. That is rumored to be why he was kicked up into the front office.

Now Arians was heavily involved in the offense? And his loss is why the offense is struggling? Really?!?

Maybe they went to garbage because they lost Gronk, the o-line is a mess, and Brady just can't carry lesser talent anymore. He did really well last year with a stacked offense. Now he doesn't have it and he is struggling. It isn't 2006 anymore where he can carry a team with Reche Caldwell as his #1 WR. It is ok to admit it.

Again, Brady is 45 years old. He has defying the laws of logic when it comes to age and players performing, but he cannot fight the Father Time forever. Father Time wins every time. Brady just took him into double and triple overtime.

Mahomes has 14 (!!) TD passes between 1-4 yards this year. He racks them up at the goal line more than any other QB like Allen (5 between 1-4 yard line) or Burrow (3 between 1-4 yard line)
