These guys just always seem a half-step behind, rather than a half-step ahead. Just pondering...

Why doesn't the NFLPA create its own cable channel, to directly capture some of the mega millions being made by media companies on the NFL product? They could have their own spin on stories, their own investigative journalism, and a far more in-depth look at what goes on in the NFL than ESPN, the NFL channel, and all the rest. They could instruct (directly and/or indirectly) the players to provide far better interviews and access to the journalists and hosts of their own channel. Call it "Pro Football Players' Network" or something like that. Then let the competitive marbles fall as they will. Why go to any other source, if you are a fan? All, or a substantial portion, of the profits can go into the retirement fund, retired players medical costs, and/or concussion research, etc.
