NFL is willing to “bubble” teams inside hotels for the rest of the season

Should have done this bubble from the beginning. Made zero sense to have open travel all 16 games and not expect the schedule to get wrecked. More idiocy from Goodell.

.

3200+ people bubbled for 4 months?

Yeah that’s a simple solution. All these people you’re suggesting hole up aren’t millionaires. What about the ball boys, the assistants, the practice squad guys. Just say bye to your lives and family until we’re done with you.

Smelldell should donate his 40 million + salary to take care of bubbling all the teams...you know..."For the Integrita!!" of the game....goddyamed shyt eating scumbag

The owners would pay for this.

The NBA and NHL already does this. Only reason NFL didn't is because the whining billionaires wouldn't put up for the expenses. And now the season is in jeopardy.

IDK why the NFL or people are surprised that there are positive tests. You cant run from a virus as we can see what is going on around the world

the more surprising thing is the NFL had no plan in place and is running around like a chicken with their head caught off.

Exactly

Yes. The math is lose the entire season's revenue or parts of the season, vs pay a bit and keep the games in a bubble

That really surprised you?

I'm not surprised. Goodell is a moron

.

Best option is second option. Typical NFL behavior.

He is but he’s really just a puppet for the owners. If they said no way to bubbling players/staff, there’s no way Roger could say yes. He doesn’t have that kind of power with his bosses.

What would be interesting to know is whether or not Roger disagreed and if so, did he push back on owners?

Nonsense. Had they done this "from the beginning", we'd be talking about August through February. The idiocy is people thinking that should even have been an option.

I mean, no one is forced to work in the NFL. They can quit if they’d like.

They’ve made the right decision. Bubbling That many people 1/2 year for our entertainment is ridic. They’d be better off opting out in that scenario.

The league doesn’t care about deaths (beyond the legal ramifications). It wants the $. This will play out and the league is super motivated to get the games in.

Then you would see a lot more opt outs. Can’t see many players agreeing to that for that length of time.

Yes Goodell is an idiot.

The season is not in jeopardy. And it is a fallacy to blame ownership for this. As mentioned in the article, it was the Union who refused to go for the "bubble" idea.

ya a bubble could work if you could mind control everyone in it, short of that no chance of it working with the size of the league, just look at the nba much less people and there were still guys breaking protocols.

I could see a bubble for the playoffs working but not a majority of the season
