He would have as much chance to come into NE and win the X WR spot for a top 5 passing offense in camp as he does going to KC and getting the spot as the #2 WR for a bottom 5 passing offense.
You guys and your Xs, Ys and Zs. Call them what you like, Edelman and Hogan will get the top number of receptions among WR. They will combine with Gronk to be the top 3. Streater would be competing with Amendola for 4th among targets, obviously they'd be used differently. Edelman and Hogan can play inside or out so the alphabet soup doesn't work. Streater would have a really good chance, assuming health, to be the 3rd target in KC, he'd be competing for 4/5 in NE; and if we bring another receiving TE in it could be lower than that. Before we got Hogan, it was different.

Pats knew it which is why the Kearse signing occurred.

I really don't think they see the two as interchangeable. They signed Kearse because they probably wanted to either way.

Please lets not forget Martin.
He was most solid when Edelman was out.

I wanted a younger group of WRs. But now with just trash left and really a lot of trash to start with...i am sure they will now add that older guy. Maybe a Boldin but ehh. I am all set with the rest of these WRs this FA. Try for a trade or draft

"Interested teams in safety Eric Weddle, as reported yesterday, seem to view him in the $5M/season range."

At that price i am sure OAK will be all over it especially with Woodson gone so you know they are one team he is thinking about and vise versa

Still think you guys end up with Kerley.

wow thats alot of money for Streater.

Has there been 1 WR worth their contract they got this year? MAYBE Matthews but that has been it. We knew going in WRs would get overpaid due to weak draft and just overall stupid teams. Why i never really expected the Pats to land was of the top guys

Only 5 M ? That's a bargain in this market. BB should make him an offer.

I don't see Boldin or any older vet coming here now simply because of the space for gameday actisve. Amendola, Hogan, Martin and Slater are special teamers. Unless Amendola gets released, we'd basically need to activate 6 WRs each week.

If those bridges weren't burned, then a one year deal for Mike Wallace with the Steelers makes a ton of sense. They need him for just a year, and he needs to rehab his value before trying to get a big contract a year from now.
