You'd think a guy whose team has their division annually dominated by the Patriots would appreciate their top receiver...

He isn't top 5 though. Top 10 for sure.

In no order:
Hopkins
AJ Green
E. Sanders
Dez Bryant
Fitz

On the come:
Watkins
Amari Cooper

So Edelman in this offense is a top 5. Overall in NFL, not so much.

Edit: Antonio Brown. How the hell did I forget him! Fitzy, your out!

Shouldn't you be more concerned that the best QB in Jets history is a free agent?
LOL. The best QB in Jets history.
Its funny because its true.
Its funnier because his career w/l is 43-61-1.
Its downright hilarious because his career playoff stats are
0 wins
0 losses
0 games
0 pass attempts
0 anything

I do. Seriously the guy is great! But top 5? Just trying to gauge sanity.
I don't know if he's top 5 in the league, but I would say top 10. He is both quick and fast, runs perfect routes, has jukes that will break your ankles, and throws a perfect spiral to boot.

Top 5 is pushing it if you're looking at raw size and skills, yeah. Compare to Julio, Hopkins, etc. it's hard to say you'd take Jules over those guys if you were redrafting a team from scratch.

But I don't think ANY of those guys is more important, more valuable for what they do to their team than Edelman is to NE. Don't know if that's a good or bad thing for NE sometimes, but it is true.

HOT ITEM:

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Patriots are "preparing" an offer sheet for restricted free agent WR Chris Hogan.

Do we hear numbers on the offer sheets or gotta wait if it's matched?

We heard the numbers on CJ Anderson's offer sheet pretty fast after it was first reported so I think we should know soon.

Guess I'm not that far off then. Similar to @ViperGTS 's view, I think his value jumps a ton in this offense w/Brady.

If anyone remembers, back when he was injured I said he was the most important person on the team not named Brady. So I definitely respect the guy.

But even with that, I'd put him in the 11- 15 range.

Top 5 is just nuts though. That's some rare air.

Streater, Starks Cunningham news?
Guys at my work one a rams fan thinks Cunningham is a great backup for Lewis

Looks like BB is indeed personally vetting these free agents and grilling them on some film:

I really want to know how much this guy sleeps. It can't be more than 4 hours a day.

Not yet. The thing no one mentions is Hogan plays Special Teams as well.

He's watching "Cocoon" and drinking Yoohoo. No wonder no one is signing for less money.

Hopefully Streater blew Bill away watching film.
